Carlos Tevez says each day he 'regrets less' his Boca Juniors return

Former Juventus striker Carlos Tevez said on Wednesday that each day he 'regrets less' his decision to return to Argentina and play for Boca Juniors, his boyhood club.

Tevez tweeted: "Each day I am less sorry about having returned to my country and to the club I love. Thank you for real!!!"

Tevez this month officially moved back to his boyhood club after two years in Turin with a fee of €6.5 million euros, to be paid by Boca in a one-off payment on Dec. 15, 2016.

Since he left Boca to move to Corinthians for €15 million -- at the time the most expensive transfer ever between two South American clubs -- Tevez had made no secret of one day wanting to return to the club where he made his professional debut.

As part of the deal, Juventus also agreed to pay Boca €3.5 million for the loan of Guido Nahuel Vadala, with the option to make him a permanent Juventus player with a further installment of €9.4 million to be paid no later than April 20, 2017.

The Argentina international signed for Juve from Manchester City in 2013 and scored 20 Serie A goals last season as the Old Lady won a fourth straight league title.

"It makes me emotional to see all the great people supporting us -- moms with crying babies in their arms; grandmothers touching their hearts on their chests and saying that they love me; kids who, when you make a gesture and look at them, their eyes fill with tears. It is hard to explain the love from everyone.

"With so little we bring happiness to so many people who fight each day for happiness. I am moved by everything and I wanted to share it because each day I regret less having returned to my country and the club that I love. Thanks for real!!!"
