Bundesliga Bounces Back

2014 FIFA World Cup Group E: Honduras 0-3 Switzerland

Edin Dzeko's goal against Iran extended the Premier League's lead atop the table of goals by league to 24. That is, until Xherdan Shaqiri took the field for Switzerland. His hat trick against Honduras brought the Bundesliga back into first place with 25 goals.

Lionel Messi scored twice in the early game, which brought Barcelona past Manchester United and into a tie with Bayern Munich at nine. But Shaqiri's trifecta gave Bayern Munich a three-goal lead over the Spanish powerhouse to end the day.
