Rumours
The latest transfer rumours from around the world.

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the Whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Krzysztof Piatek to Barcelona

Looking ahead to the future, the La Liga giants are reportedly keep an eye on Piatek, who is labelled the "new Robert Lewandowski," according to Il Secolo XIX. While Cristiano Ronaldo remains goalless, the 23-year-old Genoa striker has scored three goals in two Serie A games this season, as well as four in a 4-0 Coppa Italia win over Lecce, leading to a call-up to the Poland national team.

Junior Firpo to Manchester City

In an attempt to strengthen his squad even further, El Desmarque in Spain report that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is ready to spend £54m to sign Firpo from Real Betis. The defender can play at left-back or the middle and has even appeared on the wing. He scored twice in 15 appearances last term and recently penned a five-year deal with the Spanish club.

Hector Herrera to Tottenham Hotspur

According to Calciomercato in Italy, Mauricio Pochettino is interested in landing the Porto midfielder. Despite not signing any players in the summer, Spurs are expected to make moves in January and will challenge Roma for the tough-tackling midfielder. Herrera has won 70 caps for Mexico and appeared in the 2014 and 2018 World Cups for El Tri.

Nikola Milenkovic to Bayern

One of the bright young stars in an exciting Fiorentina team, Milenkovic has already been linked with a move to Juventus, but now the German giants have entered the race for the 20-year-old, say Calciomercato. The Bundesliga champions reportedly see him as a long-term replacement to Jerome Boateng and Mats Hummels.

Antoine Griezmann to Real Madrid

After selling Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, Real didn't make a marquee signing, but Florentino Perez wants that to change next year, with Antoine Griezmann top of his list. Los Blancos' president wants to give the Atletico Madrid forward the chance to become their superstar, according to reports in Spain. The France World Cup winner was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona at the start of the summer before opting instead to sign a new deal at Atletico.
