Charlie Austin to Leicester City
Premier League clubs are reportedly primed to make a move for Austin if Southampton fail to beat the drop. Mark Hughes' men are currently 18th in the Premier League but if they win their game in hand they'd leapfrog Crystal Palace and move a point clear of the drop zone. According to the Daily Mirror, Leicester want to add the 28-year-old forward to their attacking arsenal as a replacement for Islam Slimani. The former Sporting Lisbon striker has failed to make an impact since his move to England and is currently on loan at Newcastle United.
Matthijs de Ligt to Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham are weighing up what would be a club record bid to secure the signing of De Ligt if reports from football.london are to be believed. The Ajax centre-back is also rumoured to be an Arsenal transfer target but recent reports suggest it's their neighbours who are ready to go all in on the 18-year-old and are prepared to pay as much as £50 million as they look to continue their affiliation with defenders arriving from Amsterdam. He's viewed as a long-term replacement for Toby Alderweireld.
Mikel Merino to Athletic Bilbao
Merino could be set for a return to Spain after reportedly telling Newcastle United he wants to join Athletic Bilbao. The La Liga team held a strong interest in the 21-year-old throughout the January window but a move never materialised. However, according to TeamTalk, the midfielder has now told manager Rafael Benitez that he is unsettled at the club and would like a return to his homeland, just seven months after making his move to Newcastle permanent.
Dani Ceballos to Arsenal
Arsene Wenger is planning for life after Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere. The latter is out of contract this summer while the former has just 12 months remaining on his. Reports in El Confidencial suggest Arsenal are interested in Real Madrid playmaker Ceballos. The 21-year-old has found life difficult since a move to the Spanish capital, starting just two games in La Liga this season, scoring twice, and has completed 90 minutes just once in all competitions.
Jann-Fiete Arp to Chelsea
German wonderkid Arp could be in the middle of a tug-of-war between Chelsea and Tottenham this summer. Hamburg are rooted to the bottom of the Bundesliga and, unless there's a miracle, won't be playing top flight football next season. Reports in Bild suggest Chelsea are front runners for the 18-year-old's signature and that he'll likely be sold this summer due to his contract situation. He has just 12 months remaining on his deal and isn't rushing to extend his stay with his boyhood team.
