Barcelona, Juventus circling as Arsenal consider cashing in on Hector Bellerin

Steve Nicol explains why the time is right for Hector Bellerin to leave Arsenal and return to Barcelona.

Clubs are slowly turning their eyes toward the summer window, and Transfer Talk has the updates on all the latest rumours.

Bellerin on his way as Arsenal plan summer shake-up?

It has been reported that the end of the season will herald a rebuilding operation at Arsenal, and the Mail says Hector Bellerin could be on his way as the Gunners look to generate funds.

It reports that they will ask £50 million for right-back Bellerin, who has been linked with both his former club Barcelona and runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City in recent times.

Juventus are also said to be keen on the Spain international, with Arsenal "coming round to the notion of selling him in a bid to boost their transfer coffers."

Although it seems unlikely that City -- who brought in Kyle Walker from Tottenham last summer -- would move for 22-year-old Bellerin, Juve's interest is concrete and they are reported to be preparing a bid.

The Mail reports that Bellerin would be interested in a move away from North London "should the right opportunity present itself."

And that would boost Arsenal's spending power as they look to bring in a goalkeeper, a central midfielder and a centre-back in a squad shake-up.

Magpies want permanent Kenedy switch

Newcastle took a big step towards survival with their win over Southampton and hope to keep on-loan Kenedy, whose two goals were crucial to that victory, on Tyneside permanently.

The Mirror reports that Magpies manager Rafa Benitez "will have to pay Chelsea up to £15m for the Brazilian, who has helped lift United away from relegation trouble."

Kenedy has indicated that he would be interested in staying at St James' Park on a long-term basis if Newcastle stay in the Premier League.

Chelsea declined to offer the Magpies first option to buy Kenedy when the loan was agreed in the winter window, but they are optimistic that a deal could still be done.

Burnley ace sparks transfer race

It's been an outstanding season for Burnley, but the downside is that plenty of other clubs are paying close attention to their best players.

The Sun says the Clarets face a fight to keep midfielder Johann Berg Gudmundsson amid "a £20m, three-way scrap to land him in the summer."

It reports that Newcastle, Leicester and Southampton are all keen on the Iceland international after his performances helped inspire the Lancashire club to a superb campaign so far.

Newcastle manager Benitez "is a massive fan of Gudmundsson," the report adds, while Leicester "are expecting to lose Riyad Mahrez and are looking at replacements."

Southampton, meanwhile, "have been long-term admirers and will join the race if they avoid relegation."

Tap-ins

- Aston Villa, who brushed Championship leaders Wolves aside at the weekend, want to sign Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan if they secure promotion to the Premier League, the Bristol Post reports.

But they will face competition for Bryan, with Everton and Newcastle also in the race for a player who has scored five goals in his 40 games this season.

- Swansea are in pole position to sign defender Tom James from League Two side Yeovil Town, according to the Independent.

James is also being monitored by Celtic and Bournemouth, but the Independent says the Swans "have been closely following the 21-year-old's recent progress and want to add him to their squad."

- Newcastle Jets have dismissed speculation that Dimi Petratos will soon be leaving.

After selling Andrew Nabbout to Urawa Red Diamonds last week, the Newcastle Herald says the Jets do not want to lose any more talent.
