"He's done great things for the club and scored a lot of important goals. He was part of the cup winning team in 2017. We wish him all the best."

11.15 GMT: DONE DEAL -- Almost immediately, confirmation from Arsenal, whose official website says Aubameyang "has joined us from Borussia Dortmund on a long-term contract for a club-record fee."

It goes on to describe the Gabon international as "one of the world's most highly-rated strikers" and stresses his outstanding record of 98 goals in 144 Bundesliga games for Dortmund.

10.35 GMT: Things are moving with Michy Batshuayi -- he is to undergo a medical ahead of a loan move from Chelsea to Borussia Dortmund, sources have told ESPN FC.

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte had said Batshuayi remained in his plans to face Bournemouth in the Premier League on Wednesday, but the Belgian will fly to Germany to complete the proposed deal ahead of the 5 p.m. Bundesliga transfer deadline. And does that mean the arrival of Olivier Giroud at the Bridge?

10.25 GMT: Sources have told ESPN FC that FC Midtjylland striker Alexander Sorloth is travelling to London to finalise a move to Crystal Palace.

10.20 GMT: Everton are close to completing a season-long loan deal for Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala, sources have told ESPN FC.

France international Mangala, who became the world's most expensive defender when he signed for City from Porto for £42m in 2014, had also been a target for Valencia and Newcastle this month.

10.10 GMT: If Leicester star Riyad Mahrez does end up going to Manchester City, who might replace him? The Leicester Mercury names Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend as a contender, but it adds that they are "unlikely to be interested in doing a Mahrez deal for the figures that have tentatively been mooted."

10.00 GMT: Over to France now, where L'Equipe reports that Guingamp are set to pip Fiorentina, Saint-Etienne and Norwich City to the signing of highly rated Le Havre forward Nathael Julan, 21.

09.50 GMT: DONE DEALS -- Viktor Fischer has returned to his native Denmark, leaving Mainz to join FC Copenhagen, while Mainz keeper Jannik Huth has joined Spart Rotterdam on loan.

09.40 GMT: A Newcastle double bill: Sources have told ESPN FC that they are keen on a loan move for Leicester forward Islam Slimani, while striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is close to loan move to Anderlecht.

09.35 GMT: Borussia Dortmund have said winger Andrey Yarmolenko, 28, is set for a longer spell on the sidelines than thought with a tendon injury -- meaning that Andre Schurrle's loan move to Swansea is likely to be called off.

08.55 GMT: DONE DEAL klaxon! Late last night Borussia Dortmund completed the signing of Spain under-17 forward Sergio Gomez from Barcelona. It's reported BVB paid the €3m buyout clause in the player's contract.

08.43 GMT: Oh dear, Arsenal! It seems the official website last night made a huge gaffe and uploaded the wrong post-match video -- Arsene Wenger confirming Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's move!

08.32 GMT: Bild reports that Mesut Ozil, who is out of contract in the summer, is set to sign a new deal with Arsenal. The paper carries no direct quotes, but says the signings of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have been key in his decision.

08.21 GMT: Mathieu Debuchy is set to end his difficult spell at Arsenal by returning to France to join St Etienne, states L'Equipe. The 32-year-old, who has just six months left on his contract with the Gunners, will be reunited with Jean-Louis Gasset, formerly assistant to Laurent Blanc with France and now boss of Les Verts.

08.10 GMT: L'Equipe is reporting that  Zlatan Ibrahimovic signed a contract to join LA Galaxy three weeks ago. The 36-year-old, who is out of contract at Manchester United in June, has made no secret of his desire to play in MLS at some stage in his career. Worth noting here that the MLS season starts in March, with the transfer window open until May 1, so there's no rush to do the deal today.

07.49 GMT: Newcastle hard-man Aleksandar Mitrovic looks set to be on his way out of the club after making just six Premier League appearances all season. ESPN FC sources say that his former club, Anderlecht, want to take him back on loan.

07.28 GMT: This man has his finger firmly on the pulse of all things to do with players in the Belgium national team, so it sounds like Michy Batshuayi might be on his way to a small town in Germany?

07.00 GMT: Tick tock, tick tock! Time is almost up in the transfer window and we have two huge deals that could go through. Will Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sign for Arsenal, and where will Riyad Mahrez be when the window closes at 11 p.m. GMT in England.

Zlatan set for Galaxy switch

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed an agreement to join the LA Galaxy with the Mail reporting the Manchester United star penned the deal three weeks ago.

Jose Mourinho has revealed that he will not stand in the way of the Swede from pursuing a new adventure, should he wish to leave Old Trafford.

Ibrahimovic's deal with the Red Devils expires in June, meaning he will miss the start of the MLS season in March unless there is a deal in place with United too.

Ibrahimovic's second season at Old Trafford has been disappointing despite low expectations following his serious knee ligament injury.

But despite Romelu Lukaku's struggles at times, United signed Alexis Sanchez this month to effectively signal the end of any hopes of a starring role under Mourinho for the remainder of the season.

Real target Icardi

Real Madrid are targeting Mauro Icardi with Corriere dello Sport reporting that Los Blancos are tracking the Inter Milan star.

The Argentina international could front a new look attack with Florentino Perez rumoured to be ready to rip up the two-time reigning Champions League holders with Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema's futures all uncertain.

Icardi's national team manager Jorge Sampaoli has confirmed that "he is being followed by Real."

The Nerazzurri will hope to hold on to their captain as one of their only world-class players as they battle to return to the Champions League with a top-four finish this season.

- Danny Ings certainly won't be leaving Liverpool in January, with Jurgen Klopp laughing off move questions from reporters after Liverpool's 3-0 win over Huddersfield.

"It would be funny if someone calls for Ingsy. I would love to respond," Klopp said. "No chance. We will see what happens. There's no chance Ingsy is on the market tomorrow. Only if I'm unconscious! Maybe something happens."

Andre Ayew appears close to a return to Swansea City -- David Moyes confirmed as much after West Ham's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Tuesday.

"We have had a bid from Swansea and we are considering it," Moyes said.

- Inter Milan could be set to give the green light for a big-money move that will send Marcelo Brozovic to Sevilla, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Croatian, who has agreed to the move, will cost €1m on loan with an obligation to buy set at €28m.

- West Ham will attempt to wrestle Lille captain Ibrahim Amadou away from Crystal Palace before Wednesday's deadline, reports the Mirror.

- Inter Milan are growing concerned that they will be unable to push the Javier Pastore deal over the line before the transfer deadline, with Tuttosport reporting they have identified a backup target.

Nico Gaitan is the Nerazzurri's Plan B, should they be unable to sign the Paris Saint-Germain star, following the Atletico Madrid star snubbing a move to Swansea.

- Manchester United defender Daley Blind has been given the green light to seal a move to Roma, reports Corriere dello Sport, with the Dutch international an ideal replacement for Chelsea's latest signing Emerson Palmieri.

The Brazilian left-back was unveiled by the champions on Tuesday and Blind can offer cover for first choice Aleksandar Kolarov, as well as an option at centre-back and in midfield.
