Man United target Sessegnon in January; PSG to splash €170m for Milinkovic-Savic

With the calendar soon turning over to the new year, the gossip ahead of the January transfer window is heating up. Transfer Talk brings you all the latest rumours.

Man United want Sessegnon

Manchester United have made Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon a top target for the January transfer window, according to the Guardian.

The 17-year-old has been in dazzling form this season after being crowned joint top scorer in England's European Under-19 Championship triumph in the summer.

With Tottenham and Real Madrid also tracking Sessegnon's progress, it is believed that United will look to open the bidding at £25 million.

Sessegnon usually plays at left-back for Fulham but has also played on the wing, scoring a hat trick in his side's recent 5-4 win away to Sheffield United.

If United complete a deal for the teenager, it could finally spell the end of Luke Shaw's miserable time at Old Trafford.

PSG go big for Milinkovic-Savic

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic isn't a name you'll forget in a hurry, and the highly rated Serbia international looks set to dominate the gossip columns in the January transfer window.

The giant 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester United, but now Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are hoping to muscle in, claims Corriere dello Sport.

While the Blues are supposedly willing to spend £70 million on the Lazio attacking midfielder, the report says that PSG will blow them out of the water with a €170 million offer.

There's a reason people call this silly season.

West Ham want Mawson

David Moyes could be set to dip into the transfer market for the first time as West Ham boss with a bid for Swansea defender Alfie Mawson, reports the Guardian

Moyes is keen to take advantage of the uncertainty at the Hammers' relegation rivals after Paul Clement was sacked this week.

Mawson is valued at around £20 million by the Swans and has two-and-a-half years to run on the contract he signed when he joined the club in August 2016.

Meanwhile, Swansea have made contact with Frank de Boer and Aitor Karanka as they step up their search for Clement's replacement.

-- Rafa Benitez is preparing for a January clear-out at Newcastle with a host of players set to leave, according to the Chronicle. Midfielder Mo Diame leads the unwanted list and is joined by Henri Saivet, Massadio Haidara, Jack Colback and Rolando Aarons as Benitez looks to raise funds for a new striker.

-- Brighton boss Chris Hughton is weighing up a January bid for Celtic star Moussa Dembele, the Daily Mail claims. The forward was linked with a move to Chelsea in the summer and is valued at around £30 million.

-- The Mail also reports that Chelsea will offer Thibaut Courtois a new contract worth more than £200,000 a week, which would make him the highest paid goalkeeper in the world. The Blues are desperate to stave off interest from Real Madrid, who have placed the Belgian above David De Gea on their shot-stopping wish list.
