Marouane Fellaini in Besiktas' sights as contract stalemate continues

With the January window on the horizon, there's plenty brewing in the transfer market. All the latest deals and potential deals can be found here.

United fearful over Fellaini future

Last month, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho said he was "worried" about Marouane Fellaini's contract situation -- and now it seems he has further cause for concern.

Fellaini signed a one-year extension to his Old Trafford deal in January but is out of contract at the end of the season with no renewal yet in sight.

And now the Manchester Evening News reports that Turkish club Besiktas "have joined the race to sign Fellaini as United continue to sweat on his long-term future."

The Belgium international midfielder, who will be able to open talks with other clubs in January, was linked with a switch to Galatasaray in the summer -- a possibility dismissed by Mourinho at the time.

Fellaini has scored four goals for United to help them to second place in the Premier League, but reports in Turkey say Besiktas officials have confirmed he is "on the list" of potential transfer options.

Chelsea like look of Lyon's Diakhaby

Chelsea could make a move for Lyon defender Mouctar Diakhaby, says the Mail -- but they will have to stave off competition from Manchester City and Juventus in order to succeed.

Diakhaby, 20, has impressed in both domestic and European completion since making the breakthrough into the Lyon first team last season.

And although the Ligue 1 club would be reluctant to lose him, he has already been watched by both City and Juve, with Chelsea now keeping a lookout.

Diakhaby has helped Lyon to third place in the French top flight and qualification for the knockout phase of the Europa League.

Meanwhile, although reports last month suggested Chelsea also maintain a strong interest in Juventus defender Alex Sandro, Juve have no intention of letting him go.

Antonio Conte is still keen to bring the 26-year-old to Stamford Bridge, but the Sun says the Serie A champions will not let him leave in January "even if an offer of £53 million comes in."

Sandro was regularly linked with Chelsea in the summer but stayed put as Juve rejected two offers -- and the Sun says they "will stand firm again to avoid losing the ex-Porto ace."

Tap-ins

- It now appears only a matter of time until David Moyes is named as the new manager of West Ham United, and the Mirror says the ex-Manchester United boss will get funds to strengthen the squad in an attempt to drag the Hammers away from danger.

Slaven Bilic augmented his ranks in the summer but, after a season of struggle so far saw the Croatia legend sacked after the home defeat to Liverpool, the club's hierarchy are ready to give the go-ahead for more new faces in January.

- Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa's mooted switch to Leicester City in January seems to be moving closer, thwarting Fenerbahce's hopes of signing him.

TalkSPORT says new Leicester boss Claude Puel will make a move for the France international, who has yet to make a PSG appearance this season, and is favourite to do a deal.
