Former teammates, other players wish Neymar well on move to PSG

The long-awaited move of Neymar from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain has been completed. The 25-year-old Brazil international was excused from Barcelona's training on Wednesday, and the club released a statement confirming "his intention is to leave the club." On Thursday, PSG confirmed the signing of Neymar from Barcelona for a record €222 million fee.

The first player to offer his thoughts on Neymar's move was Barca star Lionel Messi, who wrote that "it was an enormous pleasure" to spend the last four seasons as Neymar's teammate in a classy goodbye video posted on Instagram:

Others soon chimed in, including PSG, which issued a welcome video via Twitter. Media outlet Dugout posted a video of Neymar's new PSG shirt being printed (he's taking No. 10). Barcelona players Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Luis Suarez and Samuel Umtiti were among the first of Neymar's former teammates to share their thanks and congratulations, and even Brazil legend and icon Pele offered his support for Neymar on Twitter.

Te amo irmão.
