Man City to use Iheanacho makeweight in massive Aubameyang deal
The football world's gossip mill is in full swing, and Transfer Talk is monitoring the whispers ahead of all the summer moves. Check out the latest deals and potential deals here.
Man City's plan to lure Aubameyang
Manchester City know that they'll need to offer Borussia Dortmund a pretty sweet deal if they are to cash-in on highly prized asset Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabon international is one of Europe's very best strikers, having found the back of the net 35 times this season, and cash alone may not be enough to convince Thomas Tuchel's side to sell.
The Sun, however, says that there has been a breakthrough in talks between the two clubs, with Pep Guardiola reportedly prepared to offer 20-year-old wonderkid Kelechi Iheanacho as a sweetener to get the £60 million deal across the line.
Iheanacho has fallen down the City pecking order since Gabriel Jesus' arrival in January, and a move to the Bundesliga may appeal to the striker, who is chasing game time to ensure he's part of Nigeria's 2018 World Cup plans.
Sell first, buy later for Barca
Barcelona have big plans to buy new players this summer, but according to AS, the Catalan giants will be obliged to sell some of their existing core before going to market.
The Blaugrana's wish list includes some of the world's top young stars -- like Marco Verratti, Philippe Coutinho and Hector Bellerin -- as the team looks to life after Luis Enrique. And the list of players who could make way is equally recognizable, with Arda Turan and Jeremy Mathieu expected to be surplus to requirements at the Camp Nou.
One more high-profile name whose future is on the fence is Jordi Alba. The Spain international has seen his playing time reduced this season and, despite his expressed desire to stay at Barca, he wants to be guaranteed regular opportunities in Barca's first-choice XI. Manchester United are reportedly interested in the 28-year-old as Jose Mourinho attempts to shore up his defence in the close season.
Koscielny could ditch the Gunners
Just when Arsenal's season couldn't get any worse, the Sun is reporting that Laurent Koscielny could be on his way out of the Emirates in the summer.
The 31-year-old is by far the most reliable defender in the Arsenal squad, so an exit -- particularly if it was to a Premier League rival -- would be a bitter blow to Arsene Wenger's already frail setup.
Manchester City and Marseille have been mentioned as two possible destinations but, given that the France international signed long-term contract extension earlier this season, it remains to be seen if the Gunners would be willing to cash in on the centre-back.
- Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon is attracting the interest of the Premier League elite.
The Mirror says that Manchester United has joined the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham in the race to sign the 16-year-old left-back.
- Former Getafe maestro Diego Castro is returning to Spain this summer to consider his future.
The 34-year-old has turned in two superlative seasons in the A-League, and Perth Glory boss Kenny Lowe has given the playmaker permission to take a sabbatical before committing himself to a new deal.
- Henry Onyekuru could be set for a move to Goodison Park with Ronald Koeman and Everton said to be interested in the KAS Eupen winger, says the Sun.
The 19-year-old Nigerian is also a reported target of Celtic, Southampton and Sevilla.
- Some manager news from L'Equipe now, who are reporting that Southampton boss Claude Puel might not be long for St Mary's.
His team are a respectable ninth in the Premier League table, but in the fickle world of top-flight management, doubt still clouds Puel's future in the Saints dugout.
