Another player headed for the exit door at Old Trafford is Shinji Kagawa who is wanted by former club Borussia Dortmund according to the Independent. Southampton look set to lose two more players as Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez are asking for moves to Tottenham. "Sneijder is going to stay with Galatasaray," Aysal told Turkish media on Tuesday. "It's not just our opinion but that of [coach] Cesare Prandelli and the player. There can be no talk of a split between us." He has been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea due to a reported 20 million-euro release clause in his contract.

21.32 BST: Yaya Toure has reiterated his desire to stay at Man City long-tem. He told his club's official website: "It was not a case of me wanting to leave the club. I stayed quiet, I believe that is the right way, and at the end of the day it's my decision. I will stay at Man City for as long as possible." Full story.

Despite a poor season Van der Vaart remains one of the main men in the Hamburg squad but the owners remain keen to sell and cash in on the ageing midfielder, according to Bild.

Rafael van der Vaart could be looking for a new club if the owners of Hamburg get their way.

17.26 BST: In typically classy Bayern Munich fashion, chief executive Karl-Heinz Rumenigge, has taken it upon himself to tell Borussia Dortmund they will struggle to keep hold of Marco Reus if they can't sort out his contract situation. Bearing in mind Bayern bought Mario Gotze from them days before a Champions League final between the clubs and then signed Robert Lewandowski on a free transfer this season, you can't help but feel Bayern are taking the biscuit commenting on the future of Borussia's superstar forward.

17.21 BST: Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph with his say on the Southampton chairman's recent comments.

17.18 BST: After securing the signing of one Columbian in David Ospina, Portuguese newspaper O Jogo is linking Arsenal with a 25 million euro move for compatriot Juan Quintero from Porto.

16.35 BST: West Ham look set to miss out on free agent Hugo Almeida as he is reportedly on the verge of signing for Eintracht Frankfurt. 16.28 BST: Several high profile Mexican players including Javier Hernandez and Guillermo Ochoa have plenty to do to sort out their futures this summer. ESPN's Cesar Hernandez takes a look at their futures here.

16.25 BST: Sign a 36-year-old and sell a 21-year-old. That's Jose Mourinho. That's Chelsea, apparently.

16.20 BST: Southampton chairman Ralph Krueger says Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez aren't going to leave the club. But then we also heard Saints aren't a selling club so...

16.10 BST: Looks like Ross Barkley won't be leaving Everton any time soon!

16.09 BST: Despite flying out to Hong Kong to join up with his teammates at PSG, Edinson Cavani is supposedly going to have showdown talks about a move to Manchester United, according to the Express.

16.03 BST: The Daily Mirror's chief football writer Martin Lipton has his say on the situation at Chelsea with Fernando Torres and Petr Cech.

15.56 BST: Sunderland are closing in on Lazio right-back Luis Pedro Cavanda, who does not fit into the plans of new coach Stefano Pioli. 15.46 BST: Argentine World Cup star Lucas Biglia's agent has been mouthing off that his client was wanted by Real Madrid. Enzo Montepaone told lalaziosiamonoi: "In Belgium he always played in the Champions League, so not taking part in these competitions means he doesn't feel complete. When a player like this makes his mark, it is natural there is interest in him. He belongs in a big team and we have received many requests. Real Madrid? Yes, it's true, we'll see what happens..."

Somehow, mate, don't think so.

15.37 BST: Uruguayan Guillermo Rodriguez from Torino has now officially joined Hellas Verona!

15.32 BST: Genuinely so sorry to keep harping on about Arturo Vidal. But the latest quotes from El Mercurial in Chile claim, get this, that A FOOTBALLER close to Vidal has revealed he wants to move to Manchester United but will respect the wishes of Juventus... You can't make this stuff up.

15.09 BST: And the deal that was on and then off again is now BACK ON! Well, really it is done. £2.5 million for the Sheffield United man and £2.85 million for the Dundee United man. Read the full story here.

15.06 BST: Sunderland's forgotten man Carlos Cuellar is training with Blackburn Rovers this week with a view to a permanent transfer according to Sky Sources.

14.58 BST: Some ten years after Sir Alex Ferguson wanted to bring the Brazilian to England, is he finally inching closer to a move to the Premier League? Albeit with QPR, but still!!!

14.53 BST: Porto sign their fourth Spaniard of the summer!

14.50 BST: ESPN's own Jonathan Johnson has put to bed rumours spreading today that PSG exclusion of Edinson Cavani in a promotional means anything. Sound logic.

14.44 BST: Stoke City look set to be rivaled by Newcastle and Southampton for the signature of Norwich City's highly rated winger Nathan Redmond, according to reports. He could be available for as little as £5 million.

14.37 BST: And some more on Arturo Vidal. It is becoming a bit overkill, we know, but clearly a lot that's been reported is not true.

14.32 BST: It is the rumour we should have known would have been inevitable after he left Atletico Mineiro yesterday. Former best player in the world and Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho is wanted by... yes, QPR. According to the Express Ronaldinho is open to a move to Loftus Road because compatriot Julio Cesar is there as well. Tenuous.

Harry Redknapp fancies bringing in Ronaldinho to add to his attacking options.

14.24 BST: Looks like Manchester United have gotten nowhere so far on the Thomas Vermaelen front.

14.20 BST: Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs have all been put on red alert after Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins said Wilfried Bony could be up for sale. The Daily Star report Jenkins as saying: "If a club come in for him, a top Champions League club, and put the right offer on the table he knows full well we will speak to him about that."

14.13 BST: Liverpool again. But this time it is an outgoing player as the Independent reports Daniel Agger has agreed a £12 million move to Barcelona. Apparently Spanish sources say a deal could be agreed this week but noise from Liverpool suggests the deal is still very much in the preliminary stages.

14.06 BST: And there is the confirmation from the club. If there was any doubt left.

14.05 BST: Rejoice Saints fans it is not all bad! Sky Sources claim Southampton expect to sign a goalkeeper, a defender and a forward by the end of the week. What joy! I bet that has all Saints fans appeased...

14.03 BST: Arturo Vidal's future everybody...

13.47 BST: We knew it was going to happen. And now it is official.

13.41 BST: Marco Reus' agent has added fuel to the fire by telling Bild: "Marco would make any big European team stronger. That's why it's completely normal that a number of these major European teams are interested in signing him." Ominous stuff from Dirk Hebel.

13.35 BST: Bayern Munich have confirmed to Victor Valdes they would be happy ti sign him but only once he recovers from injury, according to El Mundo Deportivo. They say Pep Guardiola has spoken to the shot-stopper and will wait until around October and he is 100% fit before signing him.

13.30 BST: Atletico Madrid look set to have to fend off interest in Uruguayan defender Diego Godin. It is no secret Atletico would have to sell should his 36 million euro release clause be met which is a possibility with Bayern Munich and Chelsea sniffing around. However, Godin is said to be happy in Madrid and Uruguayan newspaper Ovacion say he will likely remain with the Spanish champions.

13.23 BST: Liverpool's intense summer of transfer speculation is set to continue with Bild reporting Marco Reus has rejected a new contract offer from Borussia Dortmund. The Independent have run the story that this has given Brendan Rodgers hope that he can lure the German to Anfield in a huge £40 million deal to replace Luis Suarez.

13.16 BST: DONE DEAL! Baye Oumar Niasse has completed his move from Akhisar Belediyespor to Russian club FC Lokomotiv Moscow for 5.5 million euros.

13.12 BST: Liverpool have no plans to stop their spending and will attempt to bring in £30 million Benfica forward Nico Gaitan to bolster their attacking options, according to the Daily Star.

13.06 BST: And it looks as though Olympiakos may be able to fund a move for Robinho by selling star defender Kostas Manolas to Juventus. The Greece international is coming off the back of a great World Cup and has attracted interest from around Europe according to Sky Sport Italia. Apparently Everton, Tottenham, Arsenal and Valencia are all also interested.

Kostas Manolas could be heading to pastures new if any of the interested clubs firm up interest in him with a bid.

13.00 BST: Adriano Galliani on Robinho's future to Sky Italia: "There's no offer from Besiktas, there's something from Brazil and Olympiakos. We just finished a meeting and we will update tomorrow."

12.53 BST: Jose Mourinho claims he spoke to Luka Modric privately about joining him at Chelsea. Read the full story here.

12.49 BST: According to a report in the Independent, Arsenal are 'strengthening' their interest in Shakhtar Donetsk's wantaway attacker Douglas Costa. It is believed a fee in the region of £15 million should be enough to bring the Brazilian to north London.

12.41 BST: Despite Brandao moving to Bastia (almost) St Etienne will not be bringing in Guillaume Hoarau as a replacement according to a report in Le Progress.

12.37 BST: Interesting development in the future of Norwich's Ricky van Wolfswinkel. Somehow can't imagine him enjoying the Championship so much.

12.33 BST: Former Valencia captain Ricardo Costa moves to Qatar. He cancelled his contract a year early with the Spanish outfit in order to secure his move.

12.30 BST: Bastia are desperate for Brandao to nullify his contract with St Etienne in order to sign for them. The Corsican club cannot afford the transfer fee according to L'Equipe, but have agreed a two-year deal with the 34-year-old attacker.

12.24 BST: Thirty-nine year old Jerome Leroy who was supposed to be signing for Ligue 2's Luzenac could still sign for former club Sochaux according to L'Equipe, who also claim he will be given a young player to mentor.

12.17 BST: Le 10 Sport claim Juventus are still tracking Adrien Rabiot from PSG despite the change of manager from Antonio Conte to Max Allegri. Apparently a meeting between the Turin club's officials and PSG General Director Jean-Claude Blanc is scheduled over the next few days.

12.11 BST: FC Tours' highly rated young striker Andy Delort's future is still not decided according to French newspaper La Nouvelle Republique. Atletico Madrid were said to be interested in Delort and his agent has confirmed they have been talking to other clubs but did not rule out a stay for the youngster.

12.04 BST: PSG are set to make room in their squad for Angel di Maria by offloading Ezequiel Lavezzi from their roster. The Argentine has been offered to Atletico Madrid according to AS though Liverpool are also interested. Should any deal with Atleti be agreed, Lavezzi would be required to take a significant wage cut from his current deal.

Ezequiel Lavezzi could have already played his last game for PSG as he is offered to Atletico Madrid.

11.50 BST: And Adriano Galliani has also confirmed Mario Balotelli will almost certainly still be an AC Milan player next season, claiming he is 99.9999999999999999% sure. I think that's the correct amount of 9s.

11.43 BST: AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has denied reports Besiktas have made an offer for Robinho. Sport Mediaset claimed the Turkish club had made a four million euro offer but Galliani maintains the Brazilian's only suitor he knows of is Orlando City.

11.37 BST: Arturo Vidal doesn't look too unhappy at being in Italy with Andrea Pirlo rather than in Manchester with Wayne Rooney, right?

11.34 BST: Rafa Benitez has taken it upon himself to tell the media only about 10% of the names being linked with a move to Napoli are actual targets. Speaking at the Partonepei training camp he told reporters the bus-up with Jose Callejon was not an indicator he might be leaving the club and rubbished reports the Spanish forward could be leaving.

11.30 BST: AC Milan are still monitoring the Joel Campbell situation at Arsenal. Arsene Wenger is said to be open to sending the Costa Rican striker out on loan again and reports in Italy suggest the Rossoneri are keen to loan him for a season.

11.25 BST: They love a good shirt-holding in France!

11.23 BST: Very fitting with the Borussia Dortmund model, the German club have apparently signed future prospect Carlos Stramberg from Hacken for a minimal fee. Reports suggest they have agreed a £600,000 fee which could rise to £2.5 million once add-ons are included. Dortmund beat Sporting Lisbon, CSKA Moscow and Salzburg to his signature.

11.19 BST: Keylor Navas, Levante's highly sought after goalkeeper, is apparently growing more and more frustrated at not having a new club.

11.14 BST: Norwich City signing a replacement for outbound Nathan Redmond? We'll see.

11.10 BST: Liverpool will have to wait and see whether they can sign Xherdun Shaqiri from Bayern as his transfer has been put 'on ice'. Read the full story here.

11.06 BST: Surely just an accident by Chelsea as Thibault Courtois has not been given a squad number! Well, that's according to the club's website anyway with Marca pouncing on the story, as we'd all expect they would do!

11.00 BST: Champions League winners Real Madrid are considering Roma's Mehdi Benatia should Pepe be sold this summer. A report in Il Tempo suggests, despite talks of a new deal for the Moroccan, Roma would be willing to negotiate his exit should a bid of 35-40 million euros be submitted.

10.53 BST: West Ham look set to revive interest in Stuttgart's Antonio Rudiger after the German club eased off on their 'no-sale' stance. The Daily Mail claim the central defender is available for £7 million.

10.48 BST: Crystal Palace want to bring in Lazio defender Michael Ciani after seeing target Steven Caulker join rivals QPR. The French defender is available at £1.2 million according to the Daily Mail.

10.43 BST: Manchester United are willing to allow Shinji Kagawa to leave the club according to the Independent. The report claims former club Borussia Dortmund would happily take him back.

10.40 BST: He is in training and looks much happier than many reports suggest he is!

10.35 BST: The future of Villareal star Jonathan De Guzman is still up in the air according to Swansea boss Garry Monk. The Dutchman, on loan at the Liberty Stadium for the past two seasons, is keen to return to the Welsh club and the South Wales Evening Post claim the Swans have tried to make contact and bring him back to the club.

10.27 BST: Family reasons, ey... Always suspicious when a player linked with a move away leaves training.

10.23 BST: Manchester United have been dealt a blow of sorts by midfield target James McCarthy who has told the Evening Standard he is happy at Everton but flattered by the interest in him. He also revealed he was within hours of joining Spurs last season but Everton stumped up the cash at the last minute and a move to Goodison Park materialised instead.

10.19 BST: Rumours at the weekend suggested Glenn Murray could be the subject of a bid from Bolton Wanderers for his services. However, The Croydon Advertiser have claimed the Lancashire club are not going to make a bid and have 'scoffed' at the suggestion. Sorry!

10.15 BST: Any Newcastle fans harboring hope they may be in to sign Clement Grenier from Lyon should put that to bed now. The French club have come out with a statement declaring the midfielder wasn't training because of an injury, not a potential transfer.

10.08 BST: Aston Villa have joined the race to sign Chelsea's Victor Moses on loan, according to reports. The Nigerian international will be allowed out for another season, and is also a target for Everton, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, West Ham and West Brom.

Victor Moses, seemingly unwanted at Chelsea, is now available for loan with half the Premier League interested.

10.05 BST: Wes Hoolahan is set to stay at Norwich after settling his differences with the club during pre-season according to the Daily Star.

10.02 BST: It's coming. Soon.

10.00 BST: ARSENAL MAKE ANOTHER SIGNING! No, just kidding, it's Abou Diaby returning from injury again. And we all know the famous 'he will be like a new signing' line from Arsene Wenger. Well, this time Gunners fans, the lanky midfielder is hopeful he will stay fit and be able to contribute. He reassured fans: "My knee is feeling good. I have been working hard on my fitness and strength. I am really confident I will be able to stay injury-free. I have worked hard for over a year."

09.56 BST: In contrast to what many reports are saying, apparently Spurs aren't in negotiation for anybody...

09.51 BST: Rennes sold a player yesterday and their clear out continues here!

09.47 BST: Aston Villa are desperate not to lose Ron Vlaar this summer amid speculation Southampton have identified him as the man they want to replace Liverpool-bound Dejan Lovren. However, the Daily Star claim Villa are preparing a £45,000 per week contract to try and persuade the Dutch international to remain at Villa Park.

09.43 BST: DONE DEAL! Nelson Valdez signs for Eintracht Frankfurt.

09.40 BST: Considering there has been little to no speculation about Christian Benteke's future at Aston Villa, he has taken it upon himself to tell everybody he is not bothered about leaving the club and is focusing on being fit and ready for the new season. Alright mate.

09.37 BST: Toulouse react to losing Serge Aurier by signing this happy chappy!

09.35 BST: Looks like Olivier Giroud, not that he was linked away anyway, won't be leaving Arsenal any time soon.

09.34 BST: Reports out of BILD this morning claim Borussia Dortmund want to buy out the 35 million euro release clause in Marco Reus' contract so that they can extend his contract with the club until 2017 and significantly up his wages. All in order to keep the slightly richer elite of European football away from him.

09.28 BST: Another Brit playing abroad! Charlie l'Anson is signing for Real Murcia from Elche.

09.25 BST: A protracted transfer saga that doesn't involve Arturo Vidal and Angel di Maria? Mathieu Valbuena, despite being touted for a move since the back end of last season, still hasn't got a club. At first we thought he was going to Arsenal, then Valencia, and then Dynamo Moscow. But now L'Equipe are reporting the diminutive Frenchman is wanted in England by West Ham and QPR. Surely he'll be looking for European football at least?

09.22 BST: AZ Alkmaar have made a ten million euro offer for Lorient striker Vincent Aboubakar. The 22-year-old is also being watched by Lokomotiv Moscow, Borussia Monchengladbach and Southampton.

09.19 BST: And look, here is a picture of Lazio's latest arrival Stefan De Vrij arriving in Rome for his medical!

09.16 BST: The riches in the Middle East are too much to resist for some, especially Belgium's young talent.

09.14 BST: Further to our top picks above.

09.10 BST: Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta insists again that Arturo Vidal "is not going anywhere" after rumours United were improving their bid.

Marouane on the move?

Could there be a major move out of Old Trafford sooner rather than later? The predicted exodus upon Louis van Gaal's arrival hasn't quite happened yet, with most squad players required for the tour of the USA and the manager himself suggesting he needs three or four weeks to assess the goods at his disposal.

However, Tuesday's Daily Star claims that Rafa Benitez's Napoli are keen to wrap up a deal for Marouane Fellaini, probably on a 12-month loan to begin with, and free him from what has thus far been a nightmare stint with the Red Devils. The Guardian backs this up -- and also suggests that Shinji Kagawa, another thus-far unsuccessful signing, is being monitored by former club Borussia Dortmund.

Saints exodus to continue

The Guardian also goes down a road many others are following -- going big on Spurs' apparent bid for Southampton duo Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez. Fifty million pounds for the pair, it says; Southampton are getting a rather dangerous taste for all this.

But just how dangerous?

The Times says that things might career well out of control for the Saints, if they haven't already. Jack Cork, Nathaniel Clyne and Jose Fonte are all considering their futures at St Mary's, so it goes -- and Ronald Koeman, who may look to sign Aston Villa's Ron Vlaar, faces a thoroughly intimidating rebuilding job.

Sam heading for the Jenk yard?

It's not the best of times to be Sam Allardyce. You may have snapped up the talents of Enner Valencia and Aaron Cresswell, but you've just lost Andy Carroll for the season's early months and have been bewilderingly undermined by your board over your intentions -- or lack of -- for Ravel Morrison.

Is the Gunners right-back set for a move across London?

But here's something that, by all accounts, Big Sam is pretty keen on: the Telegraph says that he is about to beat a host of others by closing in on a loan deal for Arsenal right-back Carl Jenkinson, who is available after the signings of Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers. The addition of Jenkinson would certainly reinvigorate West Ham's back line and give them two new, attack-minded full-backs.

Roaming Romulo

There's news of a possible done deal in Italy to wrap things up for us. Gazzetta dello Sport says that Romulo, the Verona midfielder who only officially became their player this month after a season on loan from Fiorentina, is on the verge of becoming Juventus' fourth major summer signing after some glad-handing at the Serie A fixture draw bore fruit.

"Romulo's time arrived at dinner," says the article, going on to explain that Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta and his Verona counterpart, Maurizio Setti, stepped to one side and came to an agreement later in the evening. Having smoothed out the deal's rough edges -- it is likely to be a loan -- they now just need the player and his agent to show up and put pen to paper.
