21.38 BST Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has been linked with Liverpool and when asked about his future did not commit himself to Schalke. He told De Telegraaf: "Regarding the rumours about Liverpool it would only be fair to speak to Schalke first. I've talked with Schalke about an extension for a while. After the World Cup I am having a holiday. Then I will speak to them again. With my agent, I now do not talk about the interest from clubs. I focus on the tournament."
21.22 BST Barcelona unveil new goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, who has joined on a four-year deal from Real Sociedad. He will share the No. 1 spot with Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who joined from Borussia Monchengladbach this summer.
21.00 BST Strikers Gary Hooper and Kolbeinn Sigthorsson are the latest players to be linked with Premier League new boys QPR, according to the Mirror.
Harry Redknapp is likely to step up his interest in the Norwich and Ajax players when he has strengthened his defensive options with Rio Ferdinand and Steven Caulker both targets.
20.45 BST The Daily Star claim John Terry is a target for Michael Laudrup who recently took over at Qatari side Lekhwiya.
However the Chelsea captain is likely to turn down any approach to leave the Blues after recently signing a new contract.
20.25 BST Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku could return to Everton next season.
Quotes attributed to the Belgium international following their 2014 World Cup defeat to Argentina have been reported in the London Evening Standard.

17.25 BST Reports in Italy suggest that Robinho is ready to follow in Kaka's footsteps by leaving Milan and joining the MLS.

Orlando City, Chicago Fire, LA Galaxy and New England Revolution are all rumoured to be weighing up bids for the Brazilian.
17.20 BST One of Algeria's World Cup stars, Yacine Brahimi, could be set for a switch to the Premier League after admitting that he was keen to leave Rennes this summer.
The Mirror claim that Tottenham and Everton have both expressed an interest in the 24-year-old who scored three goals on loan at Granada last season.
17.05 BST The Mirror say that Gareth Barry's proposed move to Everton is on the verge of collapse after the Merseyside club failed to offer the two million pound fee that was part of the loan agreement with Manchester City.
Barry is reportedly keen to return to Merseyside but should Everton fail to raise the funds, he would be allowed to leave on a free transfer, with West Ham or former side Aston Villa the most likely destination.
Jack Rodwell could follow Barry out of the Etihad Stadium and Sunderland are believed to be in poll position for his signature.
Elsewhere, FC Twente's Serbian international midfielder Dusan Tadic is being touted as Ronald Koeman's No.1 choice to replace Adam Lallana at Southampton.
16.50 BST Newcastle are facing the prospect of losing another of their French stars, with The Daily Star Sunday claiming that Monaco and Liverpool are both eyeing up a move for Moussa Sissoko.
The 24-year-old impressed during France's World Cup campaign -- scoring against Switzerland -- and both clubs hope to tempt the 24-year-old with the prospect of European football.
16.40 BST Former Chelsea and England defender Ashley Cole is in talks with several clubs, all of which are based abroad, his agent has confirmed.
The 33-year-old left-back has been linked with the likes of Roma, Monaco and a number of MLS clubs following his release from Chelsea this summer.
"At the moment it is only clubs based abroad -- there may be other developments, but for the moment, that is all we are talking," said Cole's agent Jonathan Barnett.
16.25 BST Everton legend Neville Southall has backed Costa Rica goalkeeper Keylor Navas to be a success in the Premier League.
The Levante goalkeeper has been one of the standout performers of the World Cup, inspiring Los Ticos to the quarter-finals for the first time in the nation's history.
Navas kept clean sheets against Italy, England and Netherlands, impressing the likes of Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool in the process.
"His shot stopping was good, his [claiming of] crosses were debatable, but I think he would get away with that in the Premier League, his bravery was good because he came out sliding at people's feet and his handling was decent," Southall told TalkSport.
"I think he would do all right in the Premier League."
16.10 BST Roma are on the verge of completing a deal for Fenerbahce talent Salih Ucan.
The 20-year-old midfielder made his Turkey debut in November and is expected to join the Giallorossi on a two-year loan deal with view to a permanent 11 million euro transfer.
"I am going for a medical with Roma today. I'll return with my signature on the contract," he told reporters at Istanbul airport this morning.
15.55 BST The Daily Mail claim that Manchester United are ready to test Juventus' resolve with an opening bid for Chile international midfielder Arturo Vidal.
The Old Lady value Vidal in the region of 40 million pounds but Manchester United are reluctant to pay such a large sum and could offer Nani in exchange to sweeten the deal.
Louis van Gaal is also a long-term admirer of Kevin Strootman but any deal could be frustrated by the Roma midfielder's injury problems.
15.40 BST Rafa Benitez is hoping to bring Pepe Reina back to Napoli for another season-long loan spell, according to reports in Italy.
The Spain international established himself as the No.1 at the San Paolo last season, helping the Partenopei finish third in Serie A and qualify for the Champions League.
Benitez is also exploring the possibility of a loan deal for Liverpool teammate Lucas Leiva, whose playing time at Anfield could be limited following the arrival of Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen.
15.25 BST Arsenal fans, brace yourselves. Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has tweeted that he expects Barcelona and Chile attacker Alexis Sanchez to join the club should the Gunners meet his asking price. Are Arsenal going to pull off one of the greatest transfer coups this summer? Over to you, Arsene Wenger.
I am convinced that if Arsenal put on the table the money Barcelona want for him, around 30m, Alexis will end up at the Emirates.- Guillem Balague (@GuillemBalague) July 6, 2014
15.20 BST Newcastle are preparing a bid for Manchester City right-back Micah Richards should Mathieu Debuchy complete a move to Arsenal.
The 26-year-old has been plagued by injury problems over the past two seasons and The Daily Star claim that he could be available for as little as three million pounds as his contract expires next summer.
Richards is believed to be open to a move away from the Etihad Stadium following the arrival of Bacary Sagna.
15.05 BST Wales Online claim that Michu and Ben Davies are both heading closer to the exit door at Swansea.

Another man who looks set to leave Wales is Cardiff City's Gary Medel, with Inter at the top of the list of potential suitors.
14.50 BST Lekhwiya manager Michael Laudrup is plotting an ambitious bid to bring Barcelona midfielder Xavi to Qatar.
Marca say that Laudrup has informed the club's directors to prepare a contract for the 34-year-old playmaker who is prepared to leave the Catalan side after 22 years.
New York City are also interested in Xavi but deals for Frank Lampard and David Villa are expected to take up the majority of their wage budget.
14.35 BST More news from Italy now where it is rumoured that Roma have completed the signing of USA international DeAndre Yedlin.
The 20-year-old right-back had been linked with a move to Liverpool after impressing in the recent World Cup match against Belgium.
14.25 BST It's been a busy summer for Lazio so far and Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Serie A club are close to making Cagliari defender Davide Astori their fifth signing.
The 27-year-old has made seven international appearances for Italy and is expected to join the Biancocelesti for four million euros.
Lazio have already wrapped up deals for Dusan Basta, Marco Parolo and Filip Djordjevic while securing full ownership of Antonio Candreva.
14.15 BST Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier has given his verdict on the Dejan Lovren transfer saga, claiming that it would be foolish for the Croatia defender to join Liverpool if Luis Suarez makes the move to Barcelona.
So @DejanLovren05 wants to leave Sfc for lfc cos were selling best players. If he signs & they sell Suarez will he want another transfer? - Matt Le Tissier (@mattletiss7) July 6, 2014
14.05 BST Lucas Moura has dismissed speculation that he is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
The 21-year-old Brazilian winger had been linked with a move away from the French capital but insists that he is determined to make his mark and earn more silverware.
"I am feeling good at this club and I want to stay here. I want to make history here and win a lot of titles," he said.
13.50 BST The Sunday People say that Javier Hernandez turned down a move to Southampton as part of the deal which took Luke Shaw to Manchester United.

13.40 BST Former Real Madrid and Roma defender Walter Samuel is close to signing for Sampdoria on a free transfer, according to reports in Italy.
The 36-year-old Argentine was released from Inter in the summer after nine years at the club and is reportedly keen to stay in Serie A.
A move to Sampdoria would see him re-unite with coach Sinisa Mihajlovic who was his teammate and then assistant manager at the Nerazzurri.
13.25 BST Some more Southampton news now where Morgan Schneiderlin admits that he has spoken with new manager Ronald Koeman but has yet to make a decision regarding his future.
The France international has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal in the last week while former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly keen to make the midfielder his first signing at Tottenham.

13.15 BST Filippo Inzaghi faces the unenviable task of restoring Milan to European football next season and Gianluca Di Marzio's website claims that vice-president Adriano Galliani has met with the agent of Torino winger Alessio Cerci over a possible 20 million euro move.
The 26-year-old racked up 13 goals and 10 assists in Serie A this season but could decide to stay at the Granata in order to play in the Europa League.
Robinho is rumoured to be close to leaving Milan in the near future, while the Rossoneri have turned down an enquiry from rivals Inter for Dutch midfielder Nigel De Jong.
13.00 BST Tuttosport say that Juventus have identified Udinese sensation Simone Scuffet as the ideal candidate to succeed Gianluigi Buffon when the Azzurri No.1 eventually decides to hang up his gloves.
The 18-year-old goalkeeper established himself as one of the hottest prospects in Europe towards the end of the season and his precocious displays have also attracted interest from Atletico Madrid who look to fill the void left by Thibaut Courtois.
Juventus are also believed to be preparing a bid for Paris Saint-Germain youngster Adrien Rabiot who is out of contract next summer.
12.45 BST DONE DEAL! Chievo have signed Inter Milan defender Cristiano Biraghi on a two-year loan deal with view to a permanent transfer.
12.40 BST Colombia proved to be one of the dark horses of the World Cup and one man who could earn himself a big money move is Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado.
Mundo Deportivo say that Barcelona have identified the 26-year-old as the ideal replacement for Dani Alves should he leave for Paris Saint-Germain while Louis van Gaal is also reported to be keen to bring Cuadrado to Manchester United.
Fiorentina are reluctant to sell the winger however and it is believed that it would take up to 50 million euros to prise him away from Italy.
12.30 BST It's been a difficult summer for Southampton fans so far and the Saints exodus shows no sign of letting up any time soon, with Morgan Schneiderlin the latest man to be linked with a move away from the club.
New coach Ronald Koeman is determined to retain the services of the France international but L'Equipe say that Arsenal, Tottenham, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund are all confident of tying up a deal for the midfielder.
12.20 BST Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is seeking to boost his defence with the loan signing of Chelsea newboy Kurt Zouma.
The Black Cats were unsuccessful in their attempts to bring Swansea defender Ashley Williams to Tyneside and The Chronicle report that Poyet now hopes to use his close ties with Chelsea to capture the promising French centre-back.
Sunderland are currently short of options in central defence following the release of Carlos Cuellar and the end of Santiago Vergini's loan spell.
12.05 BST Ignazio Abate is the latest player to be linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain after negotiations broke down between the right-back and Milan.
11.55 BST Fernando Torres, Sergio Aguero, Diego Forlan, Radamel Falcao, Diego Costa. Who will be next to lead the attacking line for Atletico Madrid?
AS say that the Spanish champions are eyeing up a move for Manchester City forward Alvaro Negredo who is reportedly willing to lower his salary in order to move to the Vicente Calderon.
However, Diego Simeone's side are reluctant to meet his 30 million euro asking price and could instead turn their attentions to Bayern Munich's Mario Mandzukic who has been pushed down the Bavarian pecking order following Robert Lewandowski's arrival from Borussia Dortmund.
11.40 BST Is there a player more in demand than Paul Pogba? The Juventus midfielder continues to fill the back pages across Europe and L'Equipe are the latest media outlet linking him with a move away from Italy.
With Yaya Toure's future uncertain at Manchester City, Manuel Pellegrini has reportedly identified Pogba as the perfect long-term replacement while city rivals Manchester United hope to lure Pogba back to Old Trafford by offering Patrice Evra as part of the deal.
Pogba is currently under contract at Juventus until 2016 and it is believed that it will take a big offer to tempt the Old Lady to part with its most prized asset. Real Madrid are also monitoring the situation.
11.25 BST Manchester City say that they are confident of keeping Bosnia striker Edin Dzeko despite interest from several clubs in Italy.
The 27-year-old played a starring role in Manchester City's title-winning campaign and The Mirror report that the club will turn down the advances of Inter Milan and Roma by offering Dzeko a contract extension.
Samir Nasri, James Milner, Micah Richards, Martin Demichelis and John Guidetti are also in the final year of their deals.
11.15 BST According to the Sunday People, Arsenal and Manchester United are set to battle it out for former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes.
The 32-year-old is available on a free transfer after he failed a medical at Monaco earlier this week and both Arsene Wenger and Louis van Gaal regard the Spaniard as ideal competition to Wojciech Szczesny and David De Gea respectively.
11.05 BST Barcelona's need for a new centre-back has been well documented over the last season and Catalan daily Sport say that Luis Enrique has identified Thiago Silva as his primary defensive target.
With their FIFA transfer ban currently suspended, Barcelona are looking to take advantage in the current window and have highlighted the Brazil captain as the ideal candidate to fill Carles Puyol's boots.
Silva's PSG teammate Marquinhos is also believed to be on Barcelona's radar while Valencia defender Jeremy Mathieu has been linked with a move to the Camp Nou in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo claim that the La Liga side have been offered Liverpool defender Daniel Agger as Brendan Rodgers looks to raise more funds to lure Dejan Lovren to Anfield.
10.50 BST After firing France to the World Cup quarter-finals, Marca say that Real Madrid are preparing a new contract for Karim Benzema whose current deal expires this summer.
Arsene Wenger is believed to be a long-term admirer of the 26-year-old but a potential move to the Emirates Stadium now appears unlikely as Carlo Ancelotti regards the striker as irreplaceable.
10.35 BST Manchester City have already wrapped up the signings of Bacary Sagna and Fernando, and reports in Spain suggest that Malaga goalkeeper Willy Caballero is also set for a move to the Etihad Stadium.
Manuel Pellegrini is looking for a reliable deputy to current No.1 Joe Hart following Costel Pantilimon's departure to Sunderland and is reportedly prepared to poach his former club for the Argentine shotstopper who was a surprise exclusion from Alejandro Sabella's World Cup squad.

In an interview with Sportske Novosti, the 25-year-old says that he is determined to follow Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Luke Shaw out of St. Mary's amid concerns over the direction of the club.
"When the chairman left, and Pochettino was going too as early as April, I realised things had fallen apart," he claims.
09.50 BST Roma have emerged as surprise leading candidates to secure the signature of free agent Ashley Cole but The Mirror report that Liverpool are preparing an eleventh-hour bid for the 33-year-old.
Brendan Rodgers is desperate to add depth and experience to his side as they prepare for their first Champions League campaign in five years and is also eyeing up Belgium and Lille youngster Divock Origi.
Origi's potential arrival is likely to spell the end of Iago Aspas' Anfield career and the Spaniard is being linked with a move to Sevilla, while Martin Skrtel has emerged as a priority target for Galatasaray.
09.35 BST Algeria striker Islam Slimani was one of the standout performers of the World Cup and O Jogo say that Crystal Palace are the latest side to express an interest in the Sporting Lisbon forward. The 26-year-old, who netted against South Korea and Russia, is reportedly available for 12.5 million euros, with Everton, Newcastle, Trabzonspor, Schalke, Marseille and Villarreal also keeping tabs.
It could be a busy summer for the Portuguese side as they look to hold onto their World Cup stars. Argentina left-back Marcos Rojo is a reported target for both Liverpool and Chelsea while 22-year-old midfielder William Carvalho has long been linked with a move to Manchester United.
09.20 BST Inter have already boosted their defence with the signing of former Manchester United star Nemanja Vidic and it seems that a left-back is now on the agenda for Walter Mazzarri's side. Sky Sport Italia say that the Nerazzurri are exploring a deal for Roma's Dodo who could initially join on a season-long loan with view to a permanent transfer.
09.10 BST Louis van Gaal is certainly not afraid to make big decisions -- just ask Jasper Cillessen -- and The Sunday Express say that he has ordered Manchester United to find new clubs for Belgium midfielder Marouane Fellaini and Wilfried Zaha.
Fellaini has struggled to make an impression at Old Trafford following his 27 million pound move from Everton last summer while 21-year-old winger Zaha, who suffered relegation on loan at Cardiff City, is also reportedly not part of the Dutchman's plans.
09.00 BST France's World Cup quarter-final exit to Germany could have many European clubs on alert but one man who has quashed speculation that he is set for a move away is Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. The Les Bleus captain has been linked with a move to Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain but says that he expects to stay at White Hart Lane next season.
Arsenal sorting Debuchy and Sanchez double-deal
Like the proverbial London buses, Arsenal fans have waited ages for a transfer to turn up, only for two to come at once. The Daily Telegraph says Newcastle right-back Mathieu Debuchy's switch to the Emirates is all but done -- the Frenchman has confirmed the talks -- and the Gunners are also confident about signing Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona.
That's got to hurt Liverpool, who were so keen to take the Chilean as part of the Luis Suarez deal to the Catalan club.
Madrid apply Rodriguez pressure
When O Fenômeno talks, you listen. So when the great Ronaldo says James Rodriguez would be a great fit for Real Madrid, the Colombia star is sure to take notice.
Marca quoted Ronaldo's gushing praise of Rodriguez in what could be the first move in a carefully constructed PR campaign to sign the Monaco man.
Can the Principality side keep hold of their asset after his World Cup performances?
Luis in limbo
We love the language used in transfer stories. A player is on a club's "radar" as they "weigh up" a bid, and if they get so far they will get to "thrash out" a deal for him. One of our favourites would be the idea of being "in limbo" as Marca claim Filipe Luis is over his proposed move to Chelsea.
The Atletico Madrid full-back has been strongly linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge, but Jose Mourinho has so far failed to get near the club's 24-million-euro valuation.
It says here that Luis is in limbo as a result, but he is presumably not in the mood to start ducking under any sticks as per the game.
The two Uniteds battle to go Dutch
It appears the only Netherlands player not to be linked with Manchester United this summer is Klaas-Jan Huntelaar -- even Dirk Kuyt has been a reported target (!) -- but if Louis van Gaal wants to take Daryl Janmaat to Old Trafford, he faces a fight.
That's because Newcastle are now on the scene, according to the Daily Mail.
Feyenoord right-back Janmaat has had a strong tournament in Brazil, and to turn back to another favourite transfer phrase, a "tug-of-war" could ensue if Newcastle firm up their interest.
Michu set to leave Swansea
This one has been bubbling along for a while now, and it appears as though Michu's move to Napoli is nearing its conclusion.
Bafetimbi Gomis' switch to the Swans was a sign that Michu was on his way out of the Liberty for Naples, and La Gazzetta Dello Sport says the move is all but done.
