Luis Suarez exit rumours re-emerge

Could Barcelona pry Luis Suarez away from Liverpool?

Here's another round of Transfer Talk with news of a gossip column regular, Luis Suarez speculation, Thomas Vermaelen talking and a done deal...

Suarez to Barcelona?

And so it begins. Fresh from breaking England hearts for Uruguay, Luis Suarez could yet heap misery on Liverpool supporters this summer if El Mundo Deportivo is to be believed.

The Spanish paper suggests that Suarez is off to the Camp Nou and that would be a bitter blow to Brendan Rodgers' men. Suarez has a deal at Anfield until 2018 and a reported get-out clause of an eye-watering 85 million pounds.

However, El Mundo reports that Barcelona could get 20 million shaved off that figure and include Alexis Sanchez in their deal as bait. Pretty tasty bait, too, considering Sanchez is enjoying a fine World Cup for Chile and has largely impressed during his time in Spain.

Suarez seems to get linked with a move away from Liverpool every transfer window and Transfer Talk is of the opinion this won't be the last of the tales to do the rounds.

The Sun, meanwhile, has tucked the Suarez to Barca story at the top of its back page while also suggesting Real Madrid are keen.

If Barca fail to land the former Ajax man, there's always an alternative. Which brings us nicely on to...

Higuain update on Camp Nou switch

The links regarding Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain's move to Barcelona came out nowhere and ever since, there has been a steady stream of updates regarding the Argentina international's future.

Intriguingly, he will line up against Barca this summer after a friendly between Napoli and the La Liga giants was announced.

However, those who claimed this was a precursor to a move to the Camp Nou may be wrong. Marca suggests that Napoli want to keep Higuain and will price him out of a move to Spain.

Barcelona are seemingly eager to sign a striker (they should prioritise signing a centre-back in Transfer Talk's humble opinion) so expect more movement in their pursuit of Suarez and Higuain.

Kroos in control

If you stacked up all the reports on Toni Kroos' future at Bayern Munich you'd have one mighty pile and here's another one to add to the list.

The Germany international, whose deal at Bayern runs out this time next year, is apparently keen on a move to Real Madrid.

However, his current club are refusing to budge and are seemingly willing to keep him and then lose him for free next season. Marca says Kroos is not bothered about staying another season but could push for a move this summer regardless.

Madrid appear to be front-runners for Kroos but Marca claims Chelsea and Manchester United are also keen (despite indications Louis van Gaal isn't).

Vermaelen denies United talk

Arsenal's Thomas Vermaelen has thankfully cleared things up regarding his rumoured move to United. The Belgium international, who has a year left on his contract, says talk of a move to Old Trafford is false which may or may not mean the last we hear about this one.

Lescott deal done

It's not all speculation on Transfer Talk -- we have completed deals too. Step this way for news of Joleon Lescott's move to West Brom.
