Real Madrid chase Ramires

Could 27-year-old Ramires have a new club following the World Cup?

Away we go with another round of Transfer Talk, with all the latest player and manager moves, rumours and gossip.

Maybe it's because the start of World Cup -- you know, real football matches -- is just three days away but, whatever the reason, it's been a slightly underwhelming day of rumours that you can really believe in. Let's see what we can dig up...

Okay, here's a thinker -- Real Madrid are considering making a run at Chelsea midfielder Ramires, according to Marca. Los Blancos boss Carlos Ancelotti is apparently keen to be reunited with the Brazilian, whom he signed in 2010 while in charge at Stamford Bridge.

And Madrid's midfield overhaul may not end there because, if AS is to be believed, Toni Kroos is also a target for the Bernabeu giants.

Meanwhile, inside the defending world champions' squad, Diego Costa has admitted that "maybe" he will join Chelsea next season while The Mail says Napoli don't want to pay what Liverpool are asking for Pepe Reina, meaning the Spain No. 2 is set for a return to Anfield, temporarily at least.

Yesterday we told you about QPR's apparent interest in Rio Ferdinand and now the Guardian is claiming that Harry Redknapp, for whom Ferdinand played at West Ham in the late 1990s, is so keen to be reunited with his former charge that he is prepared to pay 80,000 pounds every week for the privilege.

Finally, from the more sensational, crazy money department, comes news, via the Daily Star, that Manchester United and Arsenal will have to pay more than 55 million pounds for Paul Pogba and Lorenzo Insigne respectively.
