Toe Poke Daily: Chelsea players troll EA over Abraham's FIFA stats
The Toe Poke Daily is here every day to bring you all the weirdest stories, quirkiest viral content and top trolling that the internet has to offer, all in one place.
Abraham trolls EA over FIFA numbers
Tammy Abraham had quite a game on Saturday as Chelsea thrashed Wolves 5-2 at Molineux. The 21-year-old netted a classy hat trick (full disclosure he also knocked in an own goal for the hosts) to go level with Sergio Aguero atop the Premier League scoring charts with seven so far this year.
A giggling Pedro is shown with Abraham's current FIFA card, while Azpi has a doctored version with some significantly higher numbers in light of the striker's scintillating start to the season.
Well played on Saturday Tammy, and nice follow up on Sunday too.
Chivas hero explains cheeky celebration
Scoring a winning golazo for Chivas in Mexico's oldest derby in a 1-0 win over Atlas is usually enough to garner the headlines the next day, but Mexico international Alexis Vega managed to produce a celebration that was more talked about than the goal.
The 21-year-old, for no apparent reason, dropped his shorts as he ran over to the corner flag, where he then took off his shirt in celebration.
Striptease on live TV in front of millions? It wasn't to everyone's taste.
ESPN officiating expert Felipe Ramos Rizo said Vega should've been red carded, although fans saw the lighter side and mimicked the celebration in the parking lot after the game, which clearly caused Vega some amusement.
Thankfully, Vega totally cleared it all up the next day beyond any shadow of doubt at all what the celebration was all about.
"It was an accident," he wrote on Twitter. "On trying to untuck my shirt my shorts came down. I want to make that clear so there is no misinterpretation."
