Prince Harry says football is 'most definitely' coming home on Dublin visit with Meghan Markle

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited Dublin on the day of England's World Cup semifinal against Croatia
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were in Dublin on the day of England's World Cup semifinal against Croatia.

That's it. It's official. Football is assuredly and unequivocally coming home, by royal decree.

With England gearing up to face Croatia in a World Cup semifinal, the all important question was put to none other than Prince Harry during his royal visit to the Republic of Ireland.

While meeting President Michael D. Higgins at the Aras in Dublin, Prince Harry was asked, for the record, whether the Three Lions can go all the way and secure football's safe return.

"Most definitely," came the official royal response.

The question was abruptly put to the Prince by Irish journalist Henry McKean, who works as a reporter and broadcaster for Newstalk.

So there you have it: proof if proof were indeed needed -- it's coming home, and by Royal decree!

Chris covers the funny side of the game for ESPN FC in the Toe Poke blog.
