Mexico players go blonde ahead of World Cup clash with Brazil
Mexico have attempted to harness a bit of blonde ambition ahead of their big World Cup round of 16 tie against Brazil by getting their hair dyed for the occasion.
Several El Tri players including Javier Hernandez and Miguel Layun were photographed sporting freshly bleached domes while the squad limbered up in Samara.
Subtle shades of Romania at the 1998 World Cup, all of whom opted for the peroxide look after beating England in the group stages of the tournament.
Unfortunately, they were then dumped out by Croatia in the second round while commentators and fans alike found it almost impossible to tell each player apart.
Here's hoping that doesn't prove to be an omen for Mexico.
