Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold shows England his eye for goal

It would appear that Trent Alexander-Arnold is staging a late claim to be England's starting right-back at the World Cup with the tournament less than two weeks away.

Taking part in his first training session with the first team, the 19-year-old Liverpool defender delivered a powerful statement of intent by smashing in a lovely goal from 20 yards out.

Nicely done, young man!

While Kyle Walker and/or Kieran Trippier are likely to start on the right of the back five when the Three Lions play Tunisia in Volgograd, Gareth Southgate at least knows that he can call on an able deputy if needed.

Chris covers the funny side of the game for ESPN FC in the Toe Poke blog.
