West Ham keeper Adrian catches Kouyate's head instead of ball
West Ham played out an entertaining 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday night with a couple of stunning goals from Pedro Obiang and Heung Min Son settling the score at Wembley.
However, the undoubted highlight of the match came in the 35th minute when Hammers goalkeeper Adrian made a wonderfully unorthodox save to prevent Cheikhou Kouyate's head from flying into the back of the net.

After the amusing photo went viral on social media, Adrian quickly sought to explain his actions on Twitter.
If you were watching the game,I had the ball in my hands one second early but... @PapiCheikhou needs crack his neck so I tried to help him,so sorry I have two job, save goals and help my teammates ✋🏻🤣 #goalkeeper #chiropractor #taluego https://t.co/qIpKqxgeT3— Adrián San Miguel (@AdriSanMiguel) January 4, 2018
Apparently, Kouyate had complained of a stiff neck shortly beforehand and the Spanish shot-stopper claimed -- with tongue firmly in cheek -- that he was simply performing an emergency chiropractic manoeuvre on his teammate.
That's that one cleared up then!
