Watch out! Half time snowball fight in St. Mirren vs. Dundee United

Both St Mirren and Dundee United fans decided to provide their own entertainment at the interval after sitting through a perishing cold (and goalless) first half at the Paisley Stadium on Friday evening.

The Scottish Championship fixture was in real danger of being postponed due to heavy snowfall on the morning of the match bu, thanks to the monumental efforts of the ground staff, the pitch was eventually cleared in time.

However, it would appear that there was still some slush left up in the terraces, as great fistfuls began being pelted back and forth between the two sets of rival supporters.

Several snowballs were also aimed at former St Mirren manager Alex Rae, who was spotted in the television box, covering the match as a pundit.

The home side eventually mustered a 2-0 win but the real victory was obviously registered, as it so often is, up in the stands.

Chris covers the funny side of the game for ESPN FC in the Toe Poke blog.
