David Beckham, Paul Pogba and Lionel Messi 'The Creators' in new ad

Adidas' latest big budget commercial centres around "The Creators" -- a round-table of sporting luminaries who have gathered to discuss the importance of inspiration, perspiration and originality.

During the debate, Paul Pogba sits facing David Beckham with the current Manchester United midfield star even revealing that he was inspired by the former during his early years at the club.

Pogba even sneaks in a quick dab for good measure. Nice touch.

Lionel Messi was also in attendance at The Creators' little soiree, but didn't manage to get a word in despite being the most talented individual at the table.

However, Adidas had a solid reason for allowing Messi to keep his counsel.

Can't say fairer than that, though Messi's lack of English may have also been a factor.

Regardless, the diminutive Barcelona talisman does all of his talking out on the pitch, week after after goal-filled week.

Chris covers the funny side of the game for ESPN FC in the Toe Poke blog.
