Huddersfield's Mathias 'Zanka Claus' Jorgensen to buy each travelling fan a drink

After enjoying a fine start to life in the Premier League, Huddersfield defender Mathias "Zanka" Jorgensen is paying a little back to the fans this Christmas.

The Denmark international, who arrived from Copenhagen in the summer, has vowed to buy every Terriers fan a Christmas drink as a reward for their "amazing" support.

Zanka's original plan was to buy a drink for every Huddersfield fan who make the long trip south for Saturday's pre-Christmas trip to Southampton by leaving vouchers at the turnstiles.

In a gesture which is likely to cost the centre-back around £8,000, travelling supporters will be able to pick up a token at St Mary's which will be redeemable at the Terrier's next match -- the home fixture against Stoke on Boxing Day.

"Your support this year has been truly amazing, so I thought I would think up something special for those of you travelling to Southampton this weekend," said Jorgensen in a video message posted on social media.

"I hope you like the gift. Zanka Claus is coming to Town!"

Lovely stuff.
