Toronto FC coach Greg Vanney gets Viking Clap all wrong vs. Columbus
A single goal from Jozy Altidore was enough for Toronto FC to secure a 1-0 aggregate win over Columbus Crew in the Eastern Conference final and duly book themselves a berth in the MLS Cup final for the second consecutive year.
As you might expect, the Canadian side celebrated en masse after the final whistle at the BMO Field, with head coach Greg Vanney attempting to lead the home fans in a rousing rendition of the Viking thunder clap.
Unfortunately for Vanney, it was at this point in proceedings that he realised he has no natural rhythm.
Indeed, the 43-year-old managed to mess up the most straightforward of all chants by banging his drum out of time -- much to the amusement of his players.
Here's hoping he masters the percussive arts in time for the final.
