NBA Darko Milicic star roars on Red Star Belgrade vs. Arsenal

Arsenal played out a 0-0 draw with Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday night, but even a distinct lack of on-field action wasn't enough to quell the fervour of the travelling fans at the Emirates.

Indeed, NBA aficionados might have noticed a familiar face leading the chants in the Red Star section, with Serbian basketball star Darko Milicic, formerly of the Detroit Pistons, filmed roaring his side on.

Meanwhile, as the match trundled on toward its goalless conclusion, the atmosphere was all the more placid among the home supporters.

With little of note to concern him down on the pitch, one bored Arsenal fan was spotted flicking through his newspaper and taking the opportunity to finish off the tricky Sudoku puzzle he started at lunch.

The magic of the Europa League, eh?

Chris covers the funny side of the game for ESPN FC in the Toe Poke blog.
