Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper Roy Kortsmit's fine saves deny Den Haag

Roy Kortsmit did what he could to keep Sparta Rotterdam in the match against ADO Den Haag with this barrage of big saves.

ADO Den Haag managed to record a slim 1-0 victory over Sparta Rotterdam in the Eredivisie on Sunday that catapulted them above their vanquished opponents in the Dutch top flight.

However, the winning margin may have been more comprehensive were it not for the heroics of Sparta keeper Roy Kortsmit, who pulled off a stunning quadruple save in the second half to keep Den Haag at bay.

Four saves in the space of five seconds, including a vicious effort from one of his own defenders -- not a bad effort from the boy Kortsmit!

The result saw Den Haag leapfrog up to 14th place in the table, knocking Sparta down into 15th in the process.

Chris covers the funny side of the game for ESPN FC in the Toe Poke blog.
