Newcastle legend Paul Gascoigne scores wonder goal in friendly
Paul Gascoigne made a surprise appearance in a charity game last weekend, turning out for a team of Newcastle United legends to raise money for St Oswald's Hospice in Gateshead.
Gazza managed two short run-outs either side of half-time in the Pav Cup exhibition match, alongside Peter Beardsley, Keith Gillespie and Steve Howey.
The 50-year-old even managed a goal, rolling back the years to give the opposing goalkeeper the eyes before slotting the ball though his legs and into the back of the net.
The 500-strong crowd witnessed the Toon old-boys canter to a 7-1 win, thanks largely to a hat trick from Gillespie.
The Pav Cup is an annual event played in memory of Pavel Srnicek, the former Newcastle goalkeeper who died in 2015.
