Yaya Toure tests his Mancunian slang as City ace prepares for training

Having worked in the city for the past seven years, Yaya Toure obviously decided it's high time he finally got to grips with the ins and outs of the local Manchester slang.

And so, with the anguish etched large on his face, Yaya worked his way through a big book of slang phrases, doing his level best to get his head around some really rather advanced Mancunian vernacular.

Never has a man looked more puzzled, though it does seem that a few of the terms sunk in.

After completing his studies, the veteran City midfielder put his linguistic research to good use by throwing a couple of his newly-learned buzzwords into a tweet.

Utterly seamless. The man now speaks Manc fluently like he's lived there all his life.

Yaya is a fully-fledged son of Manchester.

Chris covers the funny side of the game for ESPN FC in the Toe Poke blog.
