Aston Villa fan gets John Terry's name tattooed on his backside

Aston Villa season ticket holder Guy Higgins was so certain that John Terry wouldn't sign for his beloved club that he made an outlandish wager on Twitter.

Indeed, Higgins vowed to get the ex-Chelsea captain's name tattooed on his buttocks should he put pen to paper at Villa Park.

Lo and behold, Terry agreed a one-year contract with Villa on Monday morning and by Monday afternoon, Higgins had held up his half of the deal -- posting the proof on Twitter for all to see.

"I really, really didn't think he'd sign in a million years," Higgins told the Birmingham Mail.

"I thought nothing of it when I made the comment but loads of Villa fans saved it and brought it back up as the JT story gathered pace.

"I'll certainly never make any promises like that again, I can assure you of that!"

In case you were wondering, the "SOTC" refers to Villa fans' taunt of "S--- on the City" directed at local rivals Birmingham. Which is a bit tasteless, but in this case somewhat appropriate.

Chris covers the funny side of the game for ESPN FC in the Toe Poke blog.
