Mesut Ozil chuckles at 'expert predictions' after Arsenal's FA Cup win

While hardly an against-all-odds miracle, Arsenal pleasantly surprised their fans by defying their defensive woes to beat Chelsea 2-1 with a spirited, gutsy performance in the FA Cup final.

Not many were predicting a win for the Gunners before the match, but after lifting the trophy, Mesut Ozil was happy to look back and chuckle to himself over the outcomes forecast by some journalists in the London Evening Standard prior to kick-off.

Indeed, of the six journalists and pundits canvassed, every single one of them predicted a "landslide" victory for Antonio Conte's side.

Still, at least the Standard's chief football writer, James Olley, was able to take his abject miscalculation in good grace.

"There's a reason why the bookmakers are always pleased to see me," Olley tweeted in reply to Ozil's post.
