Coach at 2.Bundesliga strugglers Arminia Bielefeld gives rousing speech

Wallowing in the 2.Bundesliga relegation zone going into their penultimate match of the season, Arminia Bielefeld knew they required a huge result against high-flying Eintracht Braunschweig if they were going to haul themselves out of the mire.

Thankfully, assistant coach Carsten Rump was on hand to deliver a truly immense motivational team talk before kick-off.

Lo and behold, spurred on by Rump's prematch roaring, Bielefeld romped to a 6-0 win over Braunschweig -- a stellar performance that saw eight of their players end up in kicker's Team of the Week.

As well as boosting Bielefeld up and out of the drop zone (from 17th to 15th), the unlikely result also had huge implications for their defeated opponents.

Indeed, Braunschweig dropped out of the automatic promotion places after being usurped in the standings by Hannover, who now lead them by three points (and a +6 goal difference) going into the final round of games. Quite a turnaround.

Chris covers the funny side of the game for ESPN FC in the Toe Poke blog.
