Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal jokes about getting sacked

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has a sense of humour.

Despite the intense speculation surrounding his future following a number of poor results this season, the Dutchman can still see the lighter side of things.

When signing autographs after United's comfortable 3-0 FA Cup win at Shrewsbury Town, which helped to relieve some pressure on Van Gaal, the former Netherlands coach had a jovial exchange with a supporter.

The fan said: "All the best for the rest of the season, mate."

To which Van Gaal replied: "Yeah, we need it. Otherwise, I shall be sacked."

Even if Van Gaal does not last the duration of his contract at Old Trafford, all is seemingly not lost because The Sun reports he could receive £10 million if they sack him now.
