Real Madrid's new kit has a dragon
Instantly bringing back hideously vivid nightmares of almost every single football kit designed between the years 1990 and 1997 (the horror, the horror), Real Madrid have only gone and whacked a couple of great big dragons across the front of their new Champions League third kit!
Designed in conjunction with Japanese artist Yohji Yamamoto, the shirt will be worn by Real Madrid throughout this season's Champions League campaign.
According to the official blurb, The Dragon king "symbolizes the greatness, glory and power of the club," while the Dragon bird "represents the clubs resistance, determination and agility on its way to the victory."
If you want to get your grubby paws on Real's new clobber you're going to have to get moving, with only 1,500 of the limited edition Yamamoto strips being made available to the public -- 300 of which will apparently be available in a special "dragon's egg" presentation box.
Somebody's been watching far too much "Game of Thrones"...
