Platini attempts to give Ronaldo two winner's medals

Cristiano Ronaldo received his fair share of plaudits after a match-winning performance against Sevilla Tuesday night.

Obviously thoroughly impressed by the Portuguese colossus' two-goal, show-stealing performance against Sevilla in the Super Cup on Tuesday night, UEFA president Michel Platini attempted to bestow Cristiano Ronaldo with not one, but two winner's medals at the end of the game as a token of his appreciation.

One for the mantelpiece, one for eBay.

As it happens, double medals weren't the only surprise for Ronaldo after the game as, while descending the steps from the Cardiff City Stadium executive ledge, the Real Madrid superstar caught a glimpse of a familiar face from his past.

Ronaldo's reaction was actually quite sweet.

Reassuring to know that he is still human after all.
