Giggs' cheeky Panenka penalty

Bolstered by several celebrities from sport and show business, the Class of '92 took the field on Thursday night.

Several months after Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and the Neville boys all chipped in to buy their local semi-pro side, Manchester United's Class of '92 came well and truly unstuck against Salford City in a pre-season exhibition game last night.

With the likes of former United players Robbie Savage, David May, Quinton Fortune and comedian Jack Whitehall bolstering their ranks, the Class of '92 still managed to lose 5-1 to their opposition from the Northern Premier League Division One North.

Still, there was time for a wonderfully cheeky Panenka-style penalty from Giggsy to give the crowd something to cheer about.

The full ESPN FC match report is available to peruse here, but we'll leave you with one last highlight: Four stewards taking an absolute age to prise one particularly over-zealous fan from the Class of '92 crossbar.

Hang on in there, buddy!
