Having called time on his playing days at the tail end of last season with Fluminense, Friday night saw Deco play his farewell testimonial game in Lisbon as Porto's 2004 Champions League-winning side took on Barcelona's Class of '06 at the Estadio do Dragao.
A raft of Deco's former teammates turned out for the occasion, with the likes of Lionel Messi, Samuel Eto'o and Vitor Baia all joining the ex-Portugal international for his glitzy send-off.
The game ended 4-4, with Deco -- who started the game for Porto, switched to play for Barca and then switched back to Porto -- perhaps fittingly scoring the 90th-minute equaliser, and an absolute pearler it was, too!
Ronaldinho was also supposed to be in attendance on the night but was unable to get clearance from his club, Atletico Mineiro, to fly out to Lisbon so had to make do with praising Deco on Twitter instead -- calling the Brazil-born former Portugal international "the best player" he'd ever played with.
High praise, indeed!
