Sporting KC's Dwyer booked for celebrating goal with 'selfie'

Sporting Kansas City's Dom Dwyer grabbed a photographer's phone, snapped a selfie with fans and was promptly shown a yellow card for excessive celebration.

Having pinched the ball from a dawdling defender and slotting a shot past the Chicago Fire goalkeeper to open the scoring, Sporting KC striker Dom Dwyer debuted a thoroughly modern goal celebration by locating his strategically-stashed phone, which he'd left in the possession of a pitch-side photographer before the game.

Once his phone had been commandeered, Dwyer then set about taking a "selfie" with the KC fans behind the goal, with teammate Soony Saad getting in on the action for good measure.

Sadly, however, the referee wasn't so keen on Dwyer's fun and frolics and duly proceeded to book the striker for time-wasting like a big bloomin' spoilsport!
