What with the game kicking off at noon Eastern time and 9am (wait, there's a 9am?!) in the west, scores of American soccer fans are facing the unenviable prospect of having to be at work or school instead of watching the USA's crunch World Cup tie against Germany.
However, noticing the scheduling conflict, coach Jurgen Klinsmann has sprung to the rescue, signing off an "official" sick note for US fans to fill in and submit to their bosses in order to bunk off and watch the game at home.
Come on, bosses of America. Be cool, just this once!
