Japan fans clean stadium after loss
They may well have just seen their side get their World Cup campaign off to a losing start, but that didn't stop large numbers of Japan fans from staying behind after the final whistle to help clean up their section of the stadium.
Having lost 2-1 to the Ivory Coast at the Pernambuco Stadium in Recife, Mexican news outlet Azteca Deportes reported that "several hundred" Japan fans remained behind, walking up and down the rows at the stadium and the concourse, picking up litter from beneath the seats and disposing of it properly in the bins provided.
They even provided photographic evidence of the Japanese fans making sure they left the stadium in the exact spotless condition in which they found it.
How thoroughly decent of them!
