Xherdan Shaqiri - Stoke to Liverpool, £13.5m
Liverpool have been the big spenders this summer, but though they have spent a small fortune on Naby Keita (£52m), Fabinho (£40m) and Alisson Becker (£65m), Switzerland international Shaqiri is a quality addition.
Max Meyer - Unattached to Crystal Palace, free
Tipped as one of the young stars of German football from an early age, Meyer's contract expired at Schalke over the summer and Palace may have got themselves a bargain if the 22-year-old midfielder can continue his rise.
James Maddison - Norwich to Leicester, £22m
While everyone was talking about Riyad Mahrez joining Manchester City, Leicester quietly landed one of the best players in the Championship.
Gerard Deulofeu - Barcelona to Watford, £11.5m
Watford don't sign players from Barcelona every day, but Deulofeu is well known to the club after spending a season on loan. Now 24, it is time for the winger to show his potential.
Jack Wilshere - Unattached to West Ham, free
West Ham have made seven signings so far with Felipe Anderson (£35m), Issa Diop (£22m) and Andriy Yarmolenko (£17.9m) all costing a lot. Their best deal might be for nothing if the former Arsenal midfielder can stay fit.
Ki Sung-Yueng - Unattached to Newcastle, free
Having impressed for Swansea over recent years, Ki is a proven success in the Premier League which makes Newcastle's signing of him for nothing even more impressive.
Rui Patricio - Sporting Lisbon to Wolves, undisclosed
It was a bitter end to Patricio's time at Sporting after he rescinded his contract along with a host of other players, but the result is that Wolves now have the Portugal No. 1 on their books.
