Transfer Rater: Danny Rose to Man United, Berkay Ozcan to Arsenal

The latest transfer rumours from around the world.
The latest transfer rumours from around the world.

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Danny Rose to Manchester United

Out of favour with Jose Mourinho at United, left-back Luke Shaw has sparked rumours of a swap deal which would see him switch clubs with Tottenham left-back Rose. In a new book on Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, Shaw said: "I do hope that I can play for him again one day. And I think he really wants me to play under him again." Rose was subject of Manchester United interest following an explosive interview last summer in which he criticised Spurs' recruitment. Shaw, meanwhile, broke through at Southampton under Pochettino and is well down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

Dennis Praet to Newcastle United

Calcio Mercato are reporting the Sampdoria midfielder has a €20 million release clause in his contract, which Rafa Benitez could look to activate. It only comes into play at the end of the season, and though Newcastle were linked with a January move for the 23-year-old, they could wait until the summer to take advantage. The Belgian international has supplied three assists in Serie A this season and was reportedly an Everton target last summer.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Manchester City

Pep Guardiola sent scouts to watch Serbian midfielder Milinkovic-Savic during Lazio's victory against Bologna in Serie A. However, City could face competition from Liverpool for the talented 22-year-old. But according to TMW, City have the most interest at the moment. A January bid could materialise, and as Lazio are playing in the Europa League he would be able to be registered for a Champions League side if he switched midseason.

Stevan Jovetic to Sevilla

The Monaco forward is interesting a number of clubs but Sevilla are leading the race to sign the former Manchester City man, according to Talksport. The 27-year-old only signed for Ligue 1 side in the summer after scoring six in 12 on loan with Sevilla. But the Andalusians were interested in a permanent deal at the time and could return for the Montenegrin, who has made just three league starts this term. Brighton were also looking at the player in the previous transfer window, but Jovetic is likely to favour a transfer to Spain should he make another move.

Berkay Ozcan to Arsenal

The Stuttgart midfielder told beIN Sport in Turkey that Arsenal have been interested in signing him for some time. "My agent and I are in talks with Arsenal," he said. "Arsenal have been scouting me for the past two years and send representatives to watch my games. Ultimately, Arsenal is the club I want to join in the future. God willing I will achieve my goal." The 19-year-old attacking midfielder is tipped for a bright future, though he has only played 18 minutes of Bundesliga football this season.
