Ajaccio fan sells house to buy Ochoa
Worried that a series of impressive showings at the World Cup will see him moving on to pastures new after the tournament, one Ajaccio fan has put both his house and his family up for sale in an attempt to raise enough money to keep Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa at the French club next season.
Ochoa's contract at Ajaccio ran out at the end of the season following the club's relegation down to Ligue 2, but the fan is hoping to cobble together a new deal for Ochoa using the 10million Euros he hopes to raise by successfully selling his house and all its contents - including his wife and two children, aged 9 and 14 respectively - via an online auction site.
The listing, which we choose to believe is tongue-in-cheek (who are we kidding?), has been placed on French auction site "Le Bon Coin" and is available to peruse here
As the Ajaccio fan himself says, it may seem desperate but it's all for a good cause!
