16.00 BST Reports in Italy claim that the agent of Torino winger Alessio Cerci has flown to Spain for talks with Atletico Madrid.

The Italy international racked up 13 goals and 10 assists in Serie A this season and could leave the Granata for 12 million euros.

Torino president Urbano Cairo was seen meeting with Milan director Adriano Galliani on Sunday but he described talks regarding Cerci as "casual".

15.50 BST Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen admits that he does not know where he will be playing his football next season.

The Belgium defender has just one year remaining on his Gunners contract and has been linked with a move to Manchester United as Louis van Gaal bids to boost his defence.

"I really do not know where I will play, Arsenal or elsewhere next season. All my attention went to the World Cup. I will see when I talk with Arsenal," Vermaelen is quoted as saying in the Evening Standard.

15.25 BST say that Samuel Eto'o could join Ashley Cole at Roma next season, with the Italian capital outfit set to meet the Cameroon striker's representatives this afternoon.

Giallorossi coach Rudi Garcia is believed to be a long-term admirer of the 33-year-old striker who was released by Chelsea earlier this summer.

The former Inter Milan forward did not score during Cameroon's World Cup campaign but could be tempted back to Italy by the prospect of Champions League football.

15.15 BST West Ham have reportedly won the race to sign free agent Diego Poyet on a five-year deal, according to The Daily Mail.

The 19-year-old Uruguayan midfielder, son of Sunderland manager Gus, came through the Charlton academy last season where he made 23 appearances and was named the club's Player of the Year. 

It is believed that he has already passed a medical at West Ham and is expected to complete the move within the next 24 hours. 

15.00 BST Fiorentina have signed attacking midfielder Octavio on a season-long loan from Botafogo, the Italian club have announced on their website.

The 20-year-old, who spent time on loan at Brazilian side ABC earlier this year, could sign on a permanent deal at any time during the loan.

14.50 BST Sky Sports say that Arsenal are among several Premier League clubs tracking the progress of Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Karl Darlow.

The 23-year-old is regarded as one of the best young goalkeepers outside the Premier League and Arsene Wenger is keen to recruit a deputy to Wojciech Szczesny following the departure of Lukasz Fabianski earlier this summer.

Liverpool and Tottenham are also keeping tabs on the Forest goalkeeper though the Championship side are determined to hold onto Darlow as they look to build a squad capable of achieving a return to the Premier League.

The 33-year-old won the Ligue 2 title with Lille in 2000 before securing a Bundesliga triumph with Stuttgart in 2007.

"Matthieu is a proven performer with experience at the highest level against some of the best strikers in Europe, so we know he has what it takes to be successful in the A-League," said coach Kevin Muscat.

14.10 BST Carlo Ancelotti has warned Arsenal and Manchester United that it will take a significant offer to prise Germany midfielder Sami Khedira away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

Marca say that even if Toni Kroos does complete a transfer to Real Madrid from Bayern Munich, Khedira remains an integral part of the Italian's plans for next season.

Khedira's current deal expires next summer but he is rumoured to be happy to sign a new contract extension with the Champions League holders.

Malaga owner Abdullah N Al Thani tweeted late last night that the Argentine was not for sale but it seems that the two clubs have now come to an agreement.

It is also understood that Manchester City have no interest in Arsenal and Liverpool target Alexis Sanchez.

11.50 BST It's all happening today! Juventus have announced that Kingsley Coman has joined the club from Paris Saint-German after agreeing terms on a five-year contract.

The 18-year-old midfielder became PSG's youngest ever player when he made his Ligue 1 debut at the age of 16 in February 2013 and is renowned for his pace, long-range shooting ability and unique vision to dictate the game.

11.45 BST DONE DEAL! West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of Northern Ireland international Chris Baird on a free transfer. 

The 32-year-old has penned a one-year deal and becomes Albion's third acquisition of the summer window, joining Joleon Lescott and Craig Garnder at The Hawthorns. 

"Chris is a player with vast Premier League and international experience who reads the game well and has good positional sense," said new West Brom coach Alan Irvine.

"He can play in several positions and his versatility effectively makes your squad bigger."

11.35 BST ESPN understands that Liverpool are edging closer to signing Benfica talent Lazar Markovic and Lille youngster Divock Origi.

Markovic, 20. who has played 12 times for Serbia, is expected to join within the next week in a 20 million pound deal while Belgium international Origi will be loaned back to Lille as part of an agreement which could rise to 9.5 million pounds.

Augsburg have completed the signing of Slovenian attacker Tim Matavz, 25, from PSV Eindhoven on a five-year-deal while former Germany international Mike Hanke says he is embarking on "the greatest adventure" of his career as he joins Chinese outfit Guizhou Renhe.

10.35 BST One of the World Cup's standout performers could be on the move this summer. That is according to WAZ who report that Manchester United have made an offer for Wolfsburg's Swiss left-back Ricardo Rodriguez.

With Luke Shaw already in the Old Trafford door, that could spell the end for Patrice Evra. Wolfsburg are also reportedly prepared to sell Brazil midfielder Luiz Gustavo for the right price as they look to reinvest the funds in a striker. 

10.25 BST We have a done deal, ladies and gentleman! It comes from Switzerland where FC Basel have confirmed the signing of Japan international striker Yoichiro Kakitani from Cerezo Osaka on a four-year contract.

The 24-year-old failed to find the net at the 2014 World Cup but has managed five goals in 12 international appearances.

"I am looking forward to my new club and the fans of FC Basel 1893. It is for me a great honour to be allowed to go to the FCB," Kakitani told the club's website.

10.15 BST Ashley Cole has landed in Rome! Despite reports that Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was attempting to hijack Roma's bid for the 33-year-old, it now seems that Cole is about to follow in David Beckham's footsteps by playing in Serie A.

10.05 BST With Hull City preparing for its first ever season of European football, Steve Bruce is already actively looking to strengthen his side.

Having already completed deals for Jake Livermore and Robert Snodgrass, the Tigers boss is now hoping to land a four million pound deal for Tottenham captain Michael Dawson, according to The Sun.

09.55 BST Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku admits that he has a big decision to make regarding his long-term future.

We've got visions of Brendan Rodgers bundling Ashley Cole in a Ford Cortina in a car park at Gatwick airport, just as the departing Chelsea left-back prepared to fly to Rome. That's because The Daily Express say Liverpool are planning to "hijack" Roma's move for the left-back.
