Arsenal eye trio of strikers

Despite having an average World Cup, Mario Balotellis is still an attractive target for Arsenal.
Despite having an average World Cup, Mario Balotellis is still an attractive target for Arsenal.

Luis Suarez's ban, Ghana's stars sent home and Manchester United actually sign a midfielder. It's been a busy 24 hours in football and we continue with Transfer Talk...

Arsenal want three top strikers
Woah, Arsene Wenger is going for it. We all know how desperately Arsenal need a striker, so how does three sound? The Daily Telegraph has the hot gossip that Loic Remy, Mario Balotelli and Mario Mandzukic are all wanted at the Emirates this summer.

Wenger recently denied interest in Balotelli but the report claims that the Frenchman remains keen on the AC Milan striker, who has attracted criticism in the wake of Italy's World Cup exit.

Remy, meanwhile, would only cost eight million pounds and Arsenal have freed up some room in their wage bill with the release of Nicklas Bendtner and Bacary Sagna to name just two.

Mandzukic is an interesting one as well -- he's confirmed that he wants to leave Bayern Munich and if you ask Transfer Talk, the Croatian international would flourish in the Premier League. The trio, says the Telegraph, could be part of a 100 million pound outlay this summer and if that doesn't get Arsenal fans' juices flowing, nothing will.

Mathieu Debuchy too?
That's not all; The Daily Mirror says Newcastle's Debuchy is Wenger's preferred target to replace Sagna at right-back.

Benatia fancies Chelsea move
A return of an old favourite to the gossip columns now, with news that Roma's Mehdi Benatia fancies a move to Chelsea. That's what the people are Il Messaggero are indicating, with Roma facing a fight to keep their star centre-back this summer.

Is Mehdi Benatia already preparing to leave Roma barely a year after joining?
Is Mehdi Benatia already preparing to leave Roma barely a year after joining?

Benatia, 27, has developed into one of the best central defenders in the world but hasn't been at Roma long -- he only joined in 2013 -- and now they fear he wants out. The two Manchester clubs are also monitoring the situation, so watch this space.

Manchester City's Mangala interest
Benatia may be on City's radar but it appears they haven't given up hope on signing Eliaquim Mangala either.

The Porto centre-back has been strongly linked with a switch to England -- yep, both Manchester clubs are keen here also -- and the Daily Mail reckon that Manuel Pellegrini will step up his efforts for Mangala, too.

That article also has news of QPR's interest in Steven Caulker and Sunderland offering 10 million pounds for Liverpool's Fabio Borini.

Shaw set to sign
After Transfer Talk was dominated by strikers on Thursday, it's time to make a case for the defence -- and here's some news on Luke Shaw.

The Southampton full-back is inching ever closer -- we're aware this has become a saga but we are confident that it's ending -- to Manchester United. Shaw, just 18, played at the World Cup for England and is about to pocket a massive pay-rise. Not bad for a teenager.

Lots of outlets are on to this one, with the Daily Star reporting a medical is set for Friday. ITV say he's set to sign while Sky Sports says the deal is worth 30 million pounds and the Guardian has the details too.

The internet is awash with similar stuff so bypass all of that and just go here for the lowdown.

You thought you got away with it, didn't you?

Think again.

The Daily Telegraph says that Suarez was hell-bent on forcing a move from Liverpool even before his latest shame -- and they are now weighing up whether his latest scandal is a step too far.

It is also speculated that his release clause is between 65 and 80 million pounds. If you're the coach of Barcelona or Real Madrid, do you make your move or not bother?
