Lampard NYC-bound and Arsenal's wanted list

Rumours, gossip, transfer news and signings from all of the top European clubs. It's Transfer Talk time!

MLS moves

On the day that David Villa is understood to have undergone a medical ahead of a proposed move to fledgling MLS-outfit New York City FC, it appears that Frank Lampard may be another veteran to take a bite out of the Big Apple.

The Mirror reports that the 35-year-old England star will make the move stateside to play for the franchise, which will begin MLS play in 2015.

Lallana tug-of-war

Meanwhile, The Mirror also reports that new Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino, will raid his former club, Southampton, for another England man, Adam Lallana. The deal, it is claimed, will be sweetened by the offer of Andros Townsend to St. Mary's. The Daily Star though, claim Liverpool still want the midfielder, who is one of eight players they are chasing, though their patience may be running out.

Wenger's wanted list

Now that Arsene Wenger has signed on for three more years at Arsenal, it is suggested that the Gunners boss is about to go on a shopping spree, the likes of which has never been seen before at the Emirates.

Ready? Okay, The Mail say that Wenger is chasing Cesc Fabregas, Mario Mandzukic, Morgan Schneiderlin, Loic Remy, Serge Aurier, Lars Bender, Calum Chambers and Atsuto Uchida.

French stars in-demand

Alvaro Morata is also mentioned but he could be off to Jventus instead, while another name supposedly on the Arsenal shopping list is Karim Benzema, who, if he is sold by Real Madrid, will be especially disappointed if his quotes regarding his fellow countryman Paul Pogba come to fruition. According to Marca, the French striker really wants his international teammate to move to the Bernabeu.

Meanwhile Bacary Sagna will reject offers from Monaco and Dubai to sign for Manchester City.

Immobile moving

And finally, for the third straight season, the leading scorer in Serie A is departing Italy. Following in the footsteps of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who left Milan for PSG, and Edinson Cavani, who left Napoli for PSG, is Borussia Dortmund-bound Ciro Immobile. At least this latest "Capocannoniere" is not joining PSG.
