Man City: 'Premium League' champs

Manchester City celebrate their Premier League title win.

The Guinness International Champions Cup has done a tremendous job of drawing crowds in U.S. cities as the preseason tournament involving some of Europe's biggest clubs rambles on across the country. In fact, Wednesday night's match between Manchester City and Liverpool at Yankee Stadium drew more fans than any Yankees game this season.

So, in an effort to put rear ends in the seats of TCF Bank Stadium for City's match against Olympiacos in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Friday, the tournament printed up these posters:

This gaffe, which Minnesotans will likely hope to sweep under the rug as they chase an MLS franchise, is the latest slipup in a period of European clubs' intensive touring of the U.S. The scoreboard at FedEx Field in Washington, D.C., for Manchester United's friendly against Inter Milan on Tuesday night claimed that United's home stadium was "Old Traddord" rather than Old Trafford.
