Van Persie's 93-year-old grandpa celebrates wonder goal by 'Persieing'
As you may well be aware, Robin van Persie's ungainly crash landing after his spectacular diving header against Spain has since spawned a bit of an internet craze, with ecstatic fans across the Netherlands paying tribute to their main man by posting photos of themselves "#persieing" on social media.
The act of "persieing" basically involves lying face-down, spreading your arms out behind you and grinding your face into the floor -- much in the same way Van Persie did in the aftermath of his looping header over Iker Casillas.
Anyway, it's safe to say that there's no point in anybody persieing any more, because van Persie's 93-year-old Grandpa, Wim, has entered the arena and just about won the internet in the process.
Brilliant! Now someone help him up...
