Jason Dasey and John Wilkinson mull over the implications should the S.League take a one-year break in 2018.
Jason Dasey speaks with Hariss Harun following Home United's 1-1 draw with Albirex Niigata.

Tampines Rovers saw their three-match winning run come to an end on Wednesday night as Shahril Ishak struck late to give visiting Warriors FC a 1-1 draw at Our Tampines Hub.

Shahril's second-half penalty cancelled out Hafiz Sujad's early opener to leave Tampines looking over their shoulders for the battle for second place.

Jurgen Raab's side are now seven points clear of third-place Home United, having played three games more.

Tampines settled in the better of the two sides, and opened the scoring...

Malaysia U22 boss Ong Kim Swee to get new contract after SEA success

Thailand captured the 2017 SEA games title with a narrow 1-0 win thanks to an egregious error by the Malaysian goalkeeper.

Ong Kim Swee is set for an extended stay in charge of Malaysia under-22 national team after the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) decided to reward him with a contract extension.

The new deal comes after Ong redeemed himself when he returned to the national development side after being bumped down from the senior team in March.

The 46-year-old coach helped Malaysia qualify for January's AFC U23 Championship before guiding the team to the Southeast (SEA) Asian Games football final last month.

Pahang's Matt Davies says he will learn from heartbreak of losing finals

Jason Dasey and John Wilkinson break down Singapore and Malaysia's recent poor home outing in the Asian Cup.
Malaysia midfielder Brendan Gan opens up about his recovery from knee injury, free agency and his ambition for a comeback.
ESPN FC's Jason Dasey and John Wilkinson look ahead to Selangor's clash against Kedah, while JDT travel to Melaka United.

Silverware has narrowly eluded Matthew Davies so far, but Pahang's Australia-born captain says he will be better off in the long run, despite some bitter disappointment.

The 22-year-old has played in two losing finals this year -- May's 3-2 FA Cup final loss to Kedah with Pahang, and a 1-0 defeat to Thailand with Malaysia in the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games football final in August.

Home United not throwing in the towel in S.League race - Aidil Sharin

Home United's Faris Ramli laments Home United's missed chances as they see the S.League title slip further out of reach.

Their hopes of a first S.League title since 2003 are looking increasingly slimmer after a 1-1 draw with Albirex Niigata (S) on Tuesday night, but Home United coach Aidil Sharin insists that they still have a say in this season's title race.

The Protectors paid the price for conceding an early goal, and needed a second-half equaliser from Adam Swandi to rescue a point against the White Swans at Bishan Stadium.

Liverpool need defensive stability, not constant changes - Danny Murphy

The guys answer your tweets on Klopp's effectiveness, Wenger's dubious sale of the Ox, and Mourinho's managerial prowess.
The FC panel address Liverpool's B-squad against Leicester, and how they won't mind an early exit from the cup competition.
Liverpool's poor run of form continues after Leicester ousted them out of the Carabao Cup, with Islam Slimani bagging a superb goal.

The defensive woes of Liverpool stem from a lack of stability and authority in the back four that makes them susceptible to conceding goals from set pieces.

That's the view of former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy, who made 246 appearances for the club over seven seasons.

The Reds fell to a 2-0 defeat in the Carabao Cup at Leicester City on Tuesday night to extend their winless run to four games in all competitions.

"You can't build up relationships with players alongside you when you change...
