Five Aside: Lionel Messi's 50th goal in 2017 adds to milestones vs. Real Madrid

Barcelona extend their La Liga lead to 14 points above Real Madrid, thanks to goals from Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Aleix Vidal.

Lionel Messi already has a plethora of records from top scorer in La Liga history to most goals in El Clasico. But the Barcelona No. 10 hit a few more personal milestones when Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 3-0 on Saturday.

- Messi scored his 25th goal against Real Madrid, already most in rivalry history.

- Real Madrid became the third opponent Messi has scored at least 25 goals against in his career, joining Sevilla (29) and Atletico Madrid (27).

- Messi's goal marked his 50th with Barcelona in 2017. It is the sixth time Messi has scored 50 club goals in a calendar year, adding to 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2016.

- Messi scored his 54th goal for club and country in 2017. He passed Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski and Edinson Cavani for most in Europe's Top 5 Leagues.

- Messi has scored more goals at Real Madrid's Bernabeu Stadium (15) than he has at any other away stadium with Barcelona. Next most is Atletico Madrid with 12.

- Barcelona have now won three straight games at Real Madrid for the first time in club history. Barcelona have won seven of their past 10 league matches away to Real Madrid.
