Zinedine Zidane, Massimiliano Allegri, Antonio Conte up for FIFA coach prize

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is favourite to be named Best FIFA Men's Coach after being included the final shortlist for the 2017 award along with Massimiliano Allegri and Antonio Conte.

The trio had been named in an initial 12-man list of nominees last month and will now fight it out for the prize when it is handed out at the Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony on Oct. 23 in London.

Zidane is the leading contender for the award after a 2016-17 season that saw him guide Madrid to a second consecutive Champions League crown, a first La Liga title in five years and the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Madrid boss is joined on the list by Juventus coach Allegri, who led his side to a third straight Serie A and Coppa Italia Double, as well as guiding them to the Champions League final.

Conte led Chelsea to the Premier League title in his first season at Stamford Bridge as well as reaching the FA Cup final.

The winner of the award will be chosen by national team coaches, captains, selected media representatives and football fans.

Claudio Ranieri won last year's prize after defying odds of 5,000-1 to lead Leicester to the 2016 Premier League title -- the first-ever top-flight title in the club's history.
