ESPN FC's worldwide editorial desks nominate their top performers from the weekend's action. Schalke attacker Yevhen Konoplyanka is this week's No. 1.

1. Yevhen Konoplyanka | Schalke

Why he's here: The 28-year-old was central to Schalke's epic comeback from 4-0 down at half-time in the Revierderby, registering a pair of assists en route to a 4-4 draw at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

2. Mauro Icardi | Internazionale

Why he's here: The Inter captain netted a brace -- giving him nine goals in his past seven appearances -- as they traveled to Sardinia for a 3-1 win at Cagliari on Saturday.

3. Antoine Griezmann | Atletico Madrid

Why he's here: Two goals and an assist for Griezmann as Atletico trounced Levate 5-0 on Saturday. That gives the Frenchman three goals and two assists in his past two games, after tallying a goal and two assists in his previous ten.

4. Matthias Ginter | Borussia Monchengladbach

Why he's here: Ginter shut down Robert Lewandowski and scored the winner as 'Gladbach beat Bayern 2-1 on Saturday to climb into the Champions League places.

Why he's here: In Spain's top-of-the-table clash on Sunday, Alba kept Valencia's vaunted counterattack largely in check before scoring a late equaliser in Barca's 1-1 draw.

10. Memphis Depay | Lyon

Why he's here: The former Manchester United star scored twice as Lyon beat Nice 5-0 on Sunday, giving the 23-year-old ten goals and five assists in 18 competitive club appearances this season.
